Long time no see.
I didn't see anything about it being store exclusive, which means every ebook store should have that version.
Volume 8 will be out soon (Feb 18). Let's hope they keep the color pages, because volume 8 should have 2 chapters with color pages if I'm not mistaken.
Volume 7 sold about 21,119 copies according to Shoseki and ranked for only two weeks. Again a bit down from volume 6 sales.
Fun tidbit: Rabbit's agent number is 010. 10 in Kanji is 十 and one of its readings is "to". The kanji for rabbit (兎) can be read "to" as well. Therefore, 10 = to = Rabbit.

As everyone knows volume 8 is out now.
Digital version has color pages again (ch. 69 & 72).
It ranked #35 and #49 on its first two days according Shoseki.
And I have to apologize. It looks like our main characters name is actually Eight. It thought it was sure it was some kind of pun, but it is actually Eight. Who names their child Eight? Sorry again for getting his name wrong.
Next volume: May 18.
Random thought: That bright yellow cover looks a bit out of place compared to all previous volume covers.

Volume 8 lasted two weeks in the ranking and sold 23.1k copies. It didn't make it into the top 50 during week 1.
Shōnen Sunday celebrates its 61st birthday and features the main characters of all of its current series on the cover. It's been a while since that happened. I saw someone mention issue 34/2013. You can only see Eight's head, but Matsuena actually drew his whole body. The image was posted on twitter.
Matsuena forgot to draw his Matsuena mark in chapter 42 (volume 5). This is the fist and only time this has happened. (source)
Trivia: Mantis' color scheme is "black armor, white/light skin, whitish-blue hair". Matsuena's assistant first wrote she was blonde, but corrected himself in the next tweet.
Speaking of color schemes. Did he change Asuya's? The first image is from volume 5 (May 2019) and the second one from chapter 100 which was published last week.

So Mantis might actually be Asuya's mother?
Also, did his real name/code get revealed?
Posted March 18 2020 - 11:28 AM
I don't think they've got anything to do with each other at all. She just happens to have the same hair color. To me Mantis looked like a random cannon fodfer villain of the week, since she was finished off by Araragi with a single punch. I'm not even sure if we'll ever see her again.
Everything I know about Nameless-kun:
Student number at Nakano High: 1013
Number used for him in the research facility he grew up in: ED209
Name given to him by his caretaker: Asuya <- I think he considers this one his "real" name.
We don't know yet if he's got another pseudonym he uses as member of Dogra Magra.

Maybe. It's still quite a coincidence that Asuya's hair color gets retconned while Mantis' gets corrected as blue.
Araragi could be KW008's Elder so it's not that surprising. Any new info?

I don't think it was retconned. it seems more like a honest mistake for me. Remember that the one running this twitter account isn't Matsuena himself but one of his assistants.
I could imagine it went like this.
Assistant: This one person asked about Mantis' color scheme. I answered it's black/light/blonde.
Matsuena: Actually her hair is white-ish blue.
Assistant: Oops. I'll send a follow up tweet.
Or something like that.
But speaking of mothers and updates. Last chapter showed that there were many injured victims and Nakano High was damaged as well. Eight is sad, because his "friend" turned out to be a member of the enemy organization. Everyone tries to cheer him up. Nohara made a playlist with cute animal videos and Kotan snuggles up to him.
The students are allowed to go home for a short while. Everyone is happy that they can see their families again except for Ayame. Eight notices and invites her to come home with him.
It was mentioned on twitter that a mother is going to show up next week. I think this was referring to Eight's mother, since I would be rather surprised if Ayame's mother suddenly showed up. I'm looking forward to Ayame interacting with Eight's family.
----
Back to Asuya. I knew his new color scheme reminded me of someone else and his twin brother.

I meant Asuya's color was retconned from blond to blue.
But who are those two characters?
I'm interested to see that too.

I'm blind and I cannot read. Sorry for misunderstanding your post.
It is indeed strange that he suddenly changed Asuya's hair color. Maybe there is a plot related reason. Or maybe Matsuena simply liked him better with blue hair.
This situation reminds me of Tokiwa Kitareri when Kagari started out with red hair, got dark hair in two illustrations, and then went back to back for all remaining color illustrations. I still don't know why and how that happened.
Akihiko Beppu and Haruhiko Beppu from a very silly but fun magical girl parody anime.
Eights family was so sweet to Ayame. They welcomed her and didn't mind (or didn't notice?) her slightly strange behavior. Another interesting thing in this chapter was that Eight tends to pick up and adopt stray cats. I didn't count them, but the Akashis have quite a few cats living with them.
A twitter account that posts Sunday news tweeted that one of Shogakukan's employees was tested positive for covid. This twitter user suggest that it might have an effect on Sunday magazine. We'll see what's going to happen

Chapter 84 had all students on a double page and I tried to read their names. There are probably mistakes in this image, because the furigana are tiny. Please take this with a grain of salt. All names are subject to change.
I have no idea what Ayush's last name could be. For アイアー I found Ayer; Eyer; Eyre; Iyer, but I kind of doubt that this is supposed to be an English name. Any ideas?

- More news about the Corona case at Shogakukan. It seems like it was not that bad as it seemed at first. Business is running as usual.
- Matsuena forgot to draw his matsuena mark in chapter 52 as well.
- Volume 9 is going to feature a 16-page short story called "Wolf Hunting."
- This is probably the cover illustration
- Hōseiin Himari for the cover flap?
- This one looks like a chapter title page
- Maybe a preview of "Wolf Hunting"

Chapter 103:
Eight and Ayame go on a date - although Eight claims that it's totally not a date at all.
The run into two of Eight's classmates from middle school. They're making fun of him for failing all entrance exams and they try to steal Ayame from him.
Eight brushes off their insults and Ayame firmly sticks with her beloved Eight. When our MC couple is out of sight the former classmates have a run in with the thugs from chapter 1. Eight and Ayame save them and the classmates are stunned and amazed by how Eight has changed at Nakano High.
When our heroes return home Eight's mother notes how much her son has become like his father.
*****
This chapter felt sooo familiar. It was like a cross between when Miu and Kenichi went on a date and that time when Kenichi's classmates were kidnapped by Takeda and Ukita.
I want to know more about Ayame's past with Eight's father. Did she have a crush on him or something like that?
Next chapter: shower fanservice.

April 4 is Dorayaki Day in Japan.
Mr. Matsuena drew a picture of Ayame, who likes dorayaki. And she isn't the only one.

And in this week's chapter: fanservice and love triangles. Feels like Miu vs Renka ver 2.

Image quality for chapter 48 is amazing (4096px). The other chapters are taken from the regular ebook edition and downsized from 1200px to 1000something pixels for twitter.
They also posted a new sneak peek with images from the current and future chapters.
