That makes sense. What other things those the guidebook talk about? How about Koryou High School and the Phoenix Alliance?

Not much about the school and the Phoenix Alliance, besides what we already know. But some facts about Kensei and his family:

 

• Ryouzanpaku's only computer is in Kensei's room, but you can't use it if you're under 18 ... for reasons.
• Kensei was already bald when he met his future wife.
• Kensei's wife is rumored to be incredibly hot, but also extremely scary. Kensei is afraid to go home, because she's angry at him for running from his responisibilities he had with the Phoenic Alliance.
• Abeut Kensei and Sougetsu: Kensei takes after their mother, who was a beautiful woman and Sougetsu takes after their father. Their parents were said to be a "beauty and beast"-like couple.
• Interestingly Kensei inherited the baldness from his father's side of the family. Ma Ryo is the older brother of his father.
• 3 children: Renka and 2 sons. Both sons seem to be rather pretty as well.

 

So most of Kensei's profile is about his perverted tastes and his family.

So I'll picture a mix of young Kensei and Renka. What does it say about Sougetsu?

 

Is there any background info on Siegfried? Like why or how he developed a counter style like that?

Damn! I knew it!!! I have always felt that Kensei Mas wife would be attractive if she were to be introduced in the storyline.

Here would be the AWESOME plot-twist...Kensei Mas wife is also a ...Pervert!

She would try to grope with Kenichi,Tanimoto or uncle mas disciples or any other young man!

That would create for funny moments!

Nothing new about Sougetsu besides his profile and the fact that he travels the world when he disappears - usually after he got drunk and into fights.

• It seems he's getting some strange vibes from Ogata and doesn't really trust him [as we know by know that feeling was correct]
• He's getting along quite well with Diego after they spend some time in prison together
• He might secretly respect Akisame for his art and fighting skills.
• He's usually a calm person, but also quickly loses his temper
• He's a obsessive clean-freak and even follows his house keeper around with a mop to clean after them when they are cleaning. He's gotten a bit calmer about that after taking in a disciple.
• Matsuena thinks that he, Akisame and Siegfried would make a great music ensemble.
• He designs his own clothes (and always keeps them clean. He even carries antibacterial goods with him.)

I see her doing a similar combo Kensei showed Kenichi on Natsu or Kenichi. The neck poke, crotch tap (hold), and some other attack when things appear suspicious.

I thought the same. TMI. TMI. And he did that while spinning and singing.
 
Nothing about his fighting style that we don't already know. Generally the fighting stly information content in this guide is rather unimpressive. Some general info, a list of techniques used (without any explanation), and the win/lose statistic. That's it. Most of the info given concerns the character and their personality + connections to other characters.
 
For Tanimoto this guide mentiones hikaken (劈掛拳)for long distance fights and hakkyokuken (八極拳)for close distance fights as styles he uses.

Yes!!! I was wondering about him and his master Jise Ro who was responsible for having Sougesu choose the path of satsujinken.

Any more infos about Ogata-Sama?

Both Chou Enshin and his master Ro Jisei did not get their own profiles. Chou wasn't even mentioned anywhere and for Ro the bit in Sougetsu's entry just says that he's his fried and also a kenpo master, who was his replacement in the one fist nine shadows while SOugetsu was gone.

 

I think they are both still alive and training somewhere. Why should they be dead?

 

But speaking of dead masters. Do you think Sougetsu and Agaard are still alive after Ogata took them out in one blow? I've got the feeling that quite a few Yomi disciples will be left without masters after this arc.

• even if he is a satsujinken user he doesn't seem like a bad person
• he took Ryuuto to Yamigatani as well before he met Kenichi again
• his place of residence alternates between Yamigatani and the city according to where he feels like living at the moment

Sougetsu disappeared halfway through chap 578. He had not faced him as far as we can tell.

 

We're unsure about Chou's whereabouts because the wiki claimed that either Hermit killed him or his was disposed of by Yami. Plus Chou did say that he was depart from his master no matter what. I'm sure Ro Jisei is around somewhere in China. Sad that they didn't get their own profiles. Syun doesn't care about them. *tears*

Ah right, I looked at the chapter again and it was Rahman and Agaard who fought Ogata while Sougetsu went after the weapons division. I hope they all made it somehow.

 

That's strange, I could swear that somewhere there were a few pages after Natsu's and Chou's fight where Chou is alive and Ro agreed to take his disciple back and continue training him. I got the manga out again and the pages aren't there, the chapter just ends with Chou's defeat. Did I imagine things all along? Am I getting senile in my old days? Did Natsu really kill him? Time to re-read everything starting from vol 38.
