This is how I'm editing the Kenichi wiki, btw.

I know you said that the list of techniques are unremarkable, but could you list Tanimoto's and Siegfried's anyways?

And is it true that Kokin was bullied? What does his profile say about him?

Or just confirm whether or not Hermit knows the Shintokei(?). Some Japanese wikis stated that he does.

Thank you, but the image BBS is working fine for me. It's his regular BBS that gives me an error and I guess that's where the errata was posted.

The list of different styles they use is short, but both know quite a few techniques, especially Siegfried.

Siegfried: (thank you so much for printing these in tiny, tiny font without any reading guide. = I have no idea if the ones written in kanji are pronounced that way, but at least I found a music term online dictionary for the katakana ones)

mezzo piano (mp), feroce, accelerando, animato, 輪唱アタック (rinshou attack?), 鎮魂歌バスター (requiem buster), grandioso counter, stretto, morendo, con allegrezza, 涅槃の追走曲 (nehan no canon????), 旋風のダカーポ (senpuu no dacapo), 天使のささやき (tenshi no sasayaki), sforzando, 涅槃の遁走曲・横 (nehan no fugue - yoko ?_?), 涅槃の遁走曲・ひねりブラス (nehan no fugue - hineri brass), 双曲の二重奏 (soukyoku no duo), 冥界のワルツ (meikai no waltz),因果応報のマルチストレイン (ingaouhou no multi-strain), 突撃のGoaTrance (totsugeki no GoaTrance)

... I think I'll have to check each of Siegfried's fights for proper readings.

Hermit: o_O Chinese with japanified pronounciation. ^^"

That is what is listed for them, but maybe they forgot some.

Do you have Kanji for Shintokei? It would make looking for it easier.

Kokin's profile doesn't say a single word about bullying.

  • He's great at profiling and psychological warfare
  • His master doesn't only tech him martial arts, but also manners and how to assess situations, etc.
  • He values his master extremely high
  • Doesn't talk that much
  • Very logical and cold-blooded and thorough (like when he checked whether Kenichi is really dead)
  • Usually doesn't betray any emotion and has a great poker face
  • His cool character, good manners and looks make him popular with the girls
  • The black and white parts of his eyes are reversed, because he's a character whose thoughts don't reflect in his eyes. He's a mysterious character and possesses superior cognitation like Akisame, which is expressed by his white eyes.

@Delirium Trigger Please correct my horrible English if you use anything I'm writing.

I noticed that the kanji for Natsu's name are wrong. It should be 谷本夏 and not 谷本なつ.

About the Elder's age: I think the keyword here is "almost". He must haven been joking when he said that he's been fighting for over 500 years, because there's no way he's that old. Or maybe...

Christopher Eclair

Ki: Dou

Age: 30

Birthday: October 16 (Hey, that's next week. Sould we bake him a cake?)

Height: 178 cm

Weight: 70 kg

Hobbies: Killing

Likes: Killing

Dislikes: People with a low aesthetic sense

Dreams for the future: Would be nice if I can continue to happily kill♪

Ogata

Damn, Chris looks is alot older than he looks! He looks like a disciple but is actually as old/older than Ogata ,Michael ,Apachai  and Hongo!

His hobbies and likes are inconsistent with his actions! This seems like a type of profile that would fit Michael or Bantou master. I say because Éclair has shown to be the type of master who LOVES money and doesn't seem like a bloodthirsty person. This was evident with him not really attacking Kenichi until he got hit by Kenichi and showing mercy to Miu out of respect to Elder. Later on he along with Mycroft save Miu and Kenichi from Michael before accepting payments from Shigure.

That being said....Grrrr and yet to no profile on Mycroft who was the FIRST master antagonist to appear in the original series!!! Grrrrrr

But thanks for posting this!

Does it help you if I tell you that Christopher's profile contains a small comment by Matsuena about Mycroft

This is unconfirmed information, but it somehow seems that Mycroft's younger brother might be a famous detective.

Ogata

Posted October 11 2014 - 02:08 PM

It does help a great deal! I am a big fan of Mycroft because he has that Sherlock Holmes look to him and in the original series, his fight with Sakaki  was sooooo good!!!

Thanks!

Btw: Any info on Ganosuke Yokiou?

I find it hard to believe that a guy on Elders level has little info about him!

Delirium Trigger

Posted October 12 2014 - 08:42 PM

Christopher did state that he loved killing when he had a chat with Kenichi in his arc.

If you still want the kanji for Shintokei, here it is. 浸透勁(しんとうけい)い. They don't tell when the techniques were used?

About Hayato's age: I should probably put the whole thing in the trivia section. Though I ran into a few wikis that supported that theory.

Its true that he said that, but his actions say otherwise. I mean in his arc, he was pretty merciful to Kenichi and Miu and even before he got paid by Shigure, he along with Mycroft still ended up saving Kenichi and Miu from Michael Schtilvay!

Btw, which country is Michael from?

No other relevant info about him, besides that he's on the same level as the Elder. If only the guide had been published a few months later, then we might have gotten more information.

Now we'll never know about Senzui and his hobbies.

Shintokei is not in Hermit's techniques list, but they might have forgotten to add it or he used it after the guide was published.
They don't give any further information on the techniques, it's always only a box with the names listed and nothing else (marked red). You can use the battle log with their wins and losses (green) to find out which manga volumes their fight are in, find the chapter/pages and check there for readings/pictures of the actual technique.

I checked Japanese wikipedia for people named ミハイ and it mostly gives me people from Romania (name is spelled "Mihai" there) and Hungary ("Mihály")
For シュティルベイ I get the Romanian family name Ştirbei, so I guess he might be from Romania or is of Romanian descent.

About Hayato's age: You never know with the Elder. What if he's really over 500 years old? Imaginee poor little Saiga on a parents-visit-your school day (if he ever came to see his son's school)

Classmate: Wow, your grandpa is really tall.

Saiga: ... That's my father.

Classmate: No way, he's so oooooold. How old is he even.

Saiga: ...

Classmate: Come on, say it.

Saiga: Over 500 years old.

Classmate: o_O

If Saiga went to a regular school, that is. Does Natsu and Siegfried have any interesting relationships worth nothing? A friend of mine pointed out in Tanimoto's page where he's with Takeda that their conversation that Takeda said something strange to him or something.

Edit: What are the profiles for Rachel and Ethan Stanley? Is there any info as to why they have such contradicting fighting styles and what are their relationships with others? Sorry to ask for so much, but these four hadn't have their oversea wiki pages updated in a long time.

Thats too bad! I am somewhat suprised he got so much air time even though it turned out weaker than he looked! Seeing how Ganosuke was the second to make his debut (Seitaro being first) you would think that the author was trying to introduce the strongest to weakest members of the Blades.

Another thing that makes me curios about Michael Schtilvay is who thought him "Scythe" skills. The reason is, all Hachiou masters have a martial arts weapon that is thaught in real life in various schools. But I have NEVER heard of a scythe school or have seen a scythe like his among any IRL warriors.

This is confusing as well! In one hand, it makes sense for him to be 28 currently because he was just a disciple 10 years ago meaning that he was 18. So him being 38 now and a disciple at 28 doesn't make sense. Then again, its possible that Ogata got in to martial arts late in life and his desire to play catch up made him obbessed in order to make up the lost times.

Then again, like erdbeerk says, Ogata didn't look like a teenager in Tanimoto flashback...

I personally think it makes a lot more sense for Ogata to be 38 rather than 28. He is extremely mature, for example. Even during the flashbacks, he has a clear philosophy of life that he follows without deviation, and even back then it seemed he had seen much in life. It also makes sense because he wasn't a student at RZ for long, so the truth is he must have had training long before joining RZ in order to have learned at least 2 of the Elder's secret techniques (Kazoe Nukite and Nanba Hashiri) in a really short time before the Elder kicked him out (according to Kensei and Akisame, almost immediately after he joined). Even Kenichi has only learned 2 as well after about 2 years, and one of those two techniques play straight to his personality (RS, so he learns it because he has almost an identical personality to the Elder, not because of talent or prior training).

That has to be a joke because the Elder remembered being young during WWII ;)

And Kushinada had been creepy since back then. How could anyone be attracted to her is beyond me. I totally understood why the Elder passed her up. Even I (Ma Kensei) probably would have as well. I just did the restriction technique on her out of habit (blame the masterclass reflex).

erdbeerkeks

@citizen_lion As if you didn't enjoy sniffing her garments. I bet you are still keeping them somewhere.

@Delirium Trigger

Natsu: The people noted in his relationship corner are Ma Sougetsu (he pays for his teaching with alcohol and always has a hard time to get a hold of his delinquent master), Kenichi (his rival and comrade), Honoka (little sister), Shou (bonded over his hard to handle master and got along really well), Niijima (a pest that even snoops through his private live) and Ogata (was saved by him and admired him ever since).

The bit with Takeda is just the Shinpaku Alliance pestering Natsu at school. Takeda says that he hasn't seen him at their meetings for a while and Natsu tells him to get lost.

Siegfried: Niijima (his beloved demon king), Kenichi (he feels a pleasant melody coming from him), Thor (his best friend), Jeebs (his butler who always calls him young master Hibiki, he's a guy), Tanimoto (see him as a friend and thinks it's sad that Tanimoto won't understand their friendship)

Rachel Stanley

(I think I posted her basic profile somewhere here, did I?)

  • always wears her mask when she isn't at school
  • has a very flexible body
  • she loves getting attention and entertaining her audience
  • her attacks focus on kicks, but she still has strong arms
  • adores her master and admires his DIEGO QUALITY
  • Ethan is her younger twin brother, but their personalities are complete opposites. She can't understand why her brother won't think of the spectators during his fights.
  • Renka is her rival
  • acknowledges Kenichi (kinda like earthenware that is made from dirt, but still has great value)
  • She LOVES standing out and the school is a great place for that
  • She also makes a great announcer/host when she gets her hands on a microphone
  • She lets Ma Kensei, whom she calls "oji-sama", show her lewd poses so she can get even more attention.
  • She's responsible for the sex-appeal of YOMI that only has very few female members
  • The symbol they wear (鋼 -steel) means: piling up bodies and showing everyone who's great (pro wrestling)
  • When Diego approached her from big mass of people, the spectators were all over that this girl who had just come from the country had a New York gang wrapped around her finger. She was dismayed her brother had stopped her.

  • He's flexible despite his size
  • has enough strength to squish a camera
  • his kicks are strong enough to kill with one hit
  • He doesn't go overboard with his strength

Jeebs? The one who piloted the helicopter, right? I seen a few pics of him before.

"Such a tragedy that Hermit still won't partake in our Rhapsody of Friendship." The countering composer let out a melodic sigh, jotting down notes on a fallen opponent. "I wrote a wonderful tune about our battles together. Hopefully he can understand if he crawled out his shell for once." Le spins away.

My mind almost slipped into the gutter on the part where it said Rachel admires his Diego Quality. So, Diego found her controlling a street gang and and decided to train her? So then what happened with Ethan? Any info from Cerro/Sehrul, Cyril Rahman?
