I got an idea (based off of Nacchi's idea). Kenichi creates an novel, about his and his friend's adventures. Switches some things around. Hermit has a bigger role. Why is a mystery at first, until it's revealed that his novel is becoming a movie. Kenichi now a seasoned writer knows what is likely to be a hit and what isn't. Nijima knew it would become a movie, so he told Kenichi to change things around a bit. Kenichi decided to make Hermit's role bigger because he's a charismatic actor, and a highly skilled martial artists. Hermit becomes the next big action star.

Hermit as the new Bruce Lee. I like that idea.

They could also try to make a movie about Sakaki, but the plans seems to fail when Sakaki turn out to be a goddam awful actors. But don't abondon hope, there is one person who might teach him how to properly act. Time for the Mysterious Masket Etertaiter to improve this movie with some serious DIEGO QUALITY!

*****

Another story based on a strange dream I had.

Japan loves idol groups and idol casting shows. Ma Kensei loves cute girls and when a new casting show is announced the decides to seize this chance. In order to get close to the girls Kensei enters the contest. At fist the producers want to kick him out, because they only want girls for their new idol group, but one of them suggest to let Kensei enter as sort of a novel obscurity to increase tv ratings.

To everyone's surprise Ma, who would do anything for his obsession, is quite the talented singer and his martial arts influenced dancing style is certainly unique. As a rsult, Ma besomes the new super pop idol mega star together with his band of cute girls.

And we all know that is exactly what he would do if he had the chance.

By the end of Battle 582 it seems that Saiga and the Elder are talking to each other again after the arguement that happened between them in the past.

Nevertheless, Saiga does not retun to live at Ryouzanpaku with his daughter and his father. At least that is the impression I've got.

I would like to read a fanfic that explores their relationship a bit more and explains, what those two were fighting over.

On the very last page we get a glimps of a picture that shows Hayato and Saiga together. Did they reconcile? Did Saiga move back to Ryouzanpaku after all, only much later and we did not get to see it?

Did he, at first, maybe try to take his daughter with him, so they could live together?

I though they were talking for a while. The Elder keeps as many secrets as the arrow, and actually can keep them. Would love to see a fan-fic of him visiting, but Saiga doesn't seem like a kind of guy who can stay in one place for a while.

I'm thinking about writing a Alternate Universe (AU) fanfic about Miu and Kenichi or a Gaiden about Mikumo and the Elder. The name of the fanfic will be "Fate Stayed Between Us". If I make a fanfic about Kenichi and Miu, there will be a serious conflict that drives them apart. It's would be pretty much be about the same thing if I made a Gaiden about Elder and Mikumo.  Tell me what you think, should I make a AU about Miu and Kenichi or a Gaiden about Elder and Mikumo? Despite the name, I don't intend to make it a romance fanfic, just maybe some moments of romance. If you want me to explain more about it I can.

I personally would prefer Mikumo / Elder, because the personality of Mikumo was never truly fleshed out in the story proper. I would enjoy reading about a young Mikumo, when she was still young in mind as well.

I'm just wondering how long ago do you think the Elder and Mikumo fought together as friends? I guess it was some time before Miu was born.

This period was during world war 2, so 1939-1945. Hayato and Mikumo should be about 25-30 at this point, since they are approaching 100 during the main time line about 2005 onward (when Facebook begin to gain popularity).

I enjoyed citizen_lions fanfic of "Jenazads greatest fight" and many months before the guide book came out, you nailed Michaels possible background and when the guidebook came out, we find out he is in to fine dinning as a hobby.

I would like you to do an Apachai/Mihai backstory since I really like your style of story telling.

Oh yes! Awesome suggestion. It would be a difficult story to tell, since there is not a lot of details provided in the main plot itself, but we have had tons of discussions about Mihail since then, so we could try to come up with a logical backstory.

Honestly, I feel like you could pull it off, I tried to come up with the Mihai/Apa story and the only thing I could come up is that, when Apachai was a bodyguard of child trafficker known as Hexford, Apa became friends with a bodyguard for another crime boss. This bodyguard went by the name Michael, a rather polite and seemingly respectful young man who like Apachai enjoys a good meal or two or three...

That's all I got! Either way, you nailed Mihais profile before the guidebook.

@ Citizen Lion

Having Jenezad using weapons is a great idea IMO.  It would show how versatile and strong Jenezad is. Also it might give Jenezad even more of an advantage (so the fight would be more difficult for the Elder), especially if Jenezad used a Karambit. A Karambit is a small curved blade, that may be able to get around the tekkou to the underside of the wrist, depending on if the Tekkou covers the underside or not.

Here's a few videos depicting the Karambit and what it can do:

,

With the Karambit Jenezad can possibly pressure the Elder and even slowly injure him (lightly if you want). If you don't want Jenezad use weapons the whole fight you could have Jenezad disarm him. Two other idea's are: you could have Jenezad use a silat long dagger (like a Badik dagger) or even two or you could have him use one or more of the 18 styles of Silat, he hasn't used, that Radin Jihan mentioned he could use.  Its just an idea. Whatever you decide I'm interested in seeing your unique spin on the fight between the two.

I agree with ki0, the weapon portion does not seem to interfere with Jenazad's personality. I can see him using weapons in a fight like this, whether he actually did is out of the question with Mr.Mat's personality of keeping two distinct type of fighters, unarmed and armed(this does not make sense in reality)

hmm, how about something like this for Apachai & Mihail. Mihail is a high profile bodyguard of a very wealthy and powerful individual (gah! coming up with a business / political context is difficult! At least with Tidat the situation is clearly political). Hexford the crime boss got bold with his recent acquisition of Apachai, an unstoppable secret weapon, decided that he will intercept and rob the super rich instead, and presented it to Apachai as a "steal from the rich, give to the poor" scheme. Apachai will spar with Mihail here, and ended up with a draw. But Mihail realizes Apa's immense potential, and so intercepted him in one of those moment when Apachai was sitting alone with the animals, and invited him back to his apartment, where they share backstories, and where Mihail tried to win Apachai over with food.

Apachai eventually refused Mihail with his brand of simple but effective wisdom, stating that he would rather use the same amount of money to buy a lot of cheap food instead, so that both he and the animals and the children can all eat to full. They parted way amicably, and walked together to a beach, looking out to the ocean.

... which was when Mihail attacked, and began their actual serious fight. This fight will also ends with a draw, slight advantage Apachai (as in Mihail realizes that he can't win if the fight drags on for hours or days, but up to that point they trade blows and wounds), because while Apachai was stronger, Mihail will be shown as a very cunning, well-prepared fighter. I personally think Mr. Syun really did Mihail injustice in the main story, as I agreed with Ogata, the character was rich and colorful, and could be made into a major villain instead, if not through sheer power, then through sheer brain power (imagine Nijima as an elite master)

I was thinking that Mihia saw Apachia's power of death along side his kind heart. Having such contradictory things in the world of masters is lethal, Mihia thought. What you wrote works too I guess.

I agree with both of you!

Citizen_lion: you are right about Apachai preferring cheap food since he loves hamburger while Mihail loves foie gras which is a very expensive meal only for those who are privileged. (I work in a restaurant industry and if foie gras is your favorite food then you better be a baller...)

Its funny when I close my eyes and try to imagine Michaels backstory, I keep imagining  him training with his scythe during a fall season at some expensive vineyard/farm while being in a relatively peaceful area with him practicing his skills and harvesting the crops using his skillset.

combatmaster1o3:

You do make a good point and in the manga I remember Mihail saying to Apachai "I cant believe your still alive with that attitude"

They defintaly have met before since I do remember how surprised I was of Apachais character once I got to know the anime. I assumed he was going to be some cocky, arrogant fighter like Bryan Hawk from Hajime No Ippo and not a gentle hearted man-child.

Actually, this is also a good idea. I'll work it in too. So Mihail, in a weird way, also considers Apachai a friend, and Apachai also returns the favor. They find, if not friendship, then a sort of kinship, between Shinigamis.

Hmm, also flashbacks of Mihail's training vs Apachai's training. They could hash it out during their long talk / meal. This is also when Mihail realises that Apachai is not dumb at all. He's just innocent and simple, but his mind is very sharp and he understands a lot of things, just that most things don't really bother him.

I was watching various batman shows and the part where Kajima tells Mihail "Thank you for understanding" with Mihail retorting "Oh I understand completely, I understand that there is no way I can get along with you unarmed COCKSUCKERS!!!!"

That and him interfering with Saiga/Senzui without hesitation makes him seem like he is kind of like the Joker/wild card of the hsdk. Which goes back to what your saying and that is, Michael should have been a Nijimma type master. Not the strongest guy but a bloody good troll/evil genius.

Also reading your description of Mihail/Apachai being good friends. It would be kind of ironic and funny if, unlike Apachai, Mihail is gentle on his disciple during training and his disciple often times enjoys a feeling of calmness while scythe training. Now that I think about it, I don't recall him and his student interacting with one another...

But please continue, I do like what your writing with Apachai and Mihail!
