At this point they are boarder-line expert class. Thinking upon Akisame's words upon when we saw someone nearing master level, could high-class disciple and expert class be one thing?

I think there still some difference between an expert and a high-class disciple. The only expert we've seen was Tanaka, I think, and he still seemed to have the upper hand against Kenichi when they sparred.
But yes, I'm sure those three will soon make a jumo into the next class. And I'd say they maybe they even have the potential to become a master before Kenichi reaches this level.
By the way, how did Ryuuto, Renka and her two friends get to this island in the first place? Did they hitch a ride with Jenny and her troops?

Well he was almost master anyway. While he was not a master, you could still confuse him for one. Within a short while he was a master(then a corpse).

Yeah, his fight against Ogata turned out rather unfortunate for him. But I still think that the disciples are not quite expert class yet. I'm sure the masters would have mentioned something like that in the final chapter, however Hayato only says that "he has still a long way to go".

The other half of the spread page I posted some time ago.
I think I have an idea where Hongō might possibly be. All other masters are seen with their disciples, yet he is somewhere alone without Seta and Hayami standing next to his car. It reminds me of the time where Kenichi and Miu went to visit the deserted Kuremisago village before the fight Hongō VS Sakaki happened. Hongō was there as well to remember his lost disciple.
When I look at the bits of scenery behind him I think it is possible that he's a the Kuremisago village again at that moment. So he kind of is with his disciple, even if Shō is dead.

Matsuena's message on the cover: Even if a story ends, the tale will not diappear.

KenichI: Eh, Elder, where are you going dressed up like that?
Miu: (That's new.)
Hayato: Hn?
Hayato: Oh, just...
Page 165
Hayato: On a date!!
Everyone: A daaaaaaate!?
Hayato: Did you wait?
Page 166
Mikumo: ... So that makes it one win and one loss for both of us?
Hayato: If you want to call the previous great battle a match, after that the world has properly returned to an age of peace.
Hayato: You listen? No matter how often you challenge me, as long as I am alive
Hayato: I am alway going to try to bring peache back into the world.
Mikumo: As expected...
Mikumo: It seems we are destinied to be enemies...
Hayato: Wait, Mikumo!!
Page 167
Hayato: I'm sure, in case I won
Hayato: You promised to invite me for anmitsu.
Mikumo: ...
Mikumo: There's no choice then, let's stay together for a while.
Mikumo: (Good grief, how many decades ago did I make that promise.)
Hayato: (A promise is a promise.)
(The word Mikumo used here can mean, amonst other meanings, "to keep someone company", but also "to date someome". I'm not quite sure which meaning she was going for and I hope I managed to keep the translation vague like that. Corrections/improvements are always welcome.)
This is great. I was having difficulty coming up with a personality for young Mikumo to be honest.

What are we going to use to construct her in her past anyway. The most we have is that she was a love intrest of the elder, extremely powerful; possibly wealthy, fell into darkness and lost something. Nothing too specific. We don't even have a stable character profile of her now.
