I just saw on twitter that Vol. 58 of the manga will be out 9/18 and they uploaded the cover and bonus illustrations. Look at that picture!
It's so nicht to see Natsu on a cover again and this time we even get the whole group. But it kinda feels like a "goodbye" type of cover. I have to preorder it now.

@Ogata Kushinada is definitely the unofficial leader of Yami but as for comparing her power to Senzui she just hasn't fought enough. Though even if hypothetically Senzui
iswas faster, stronger, more agile, more endurable, has more ki etc. than Kushinada she'd still win a fight between the two cause of her weird jujitsu.
I guess that makes sense, but then again what was the point of disguising as Saiga if Hachiou masters already knew who he was from the beginning??? Doesn't seem like the rest of the OSNF cared if it was Saiga or Senzui either...
But yeah, I agree that Kushinada may not have the commanding power but she sure can manupilate the outcome in order to obtain the results she seeks.
Speaking of Saiga, is it just me or does he come off like a hearthrobe? I notice he likes to cover his face with the whole " I am too shy to show my sexy face" and he tries to dress fancy shmancy suits and what not!
No doubt he is number 2 best looking guy after Ogata!
P.S: While ago 5 weapon masters made their debut on the command of Rin Tachibana, 2 of them got beat by Sakaki/Akisame, two are fighting Ragnarok/yomi disciples and so...one weapon master is missing from this action!!!
Posted September 05 2014 - 12:33 PM
@Ogata If you wanna talk about missing masters, where are Diego and Alexandre?
Drinking orange juice and reading "kenichi" manga as well
But I agree, we should have had a chapter with Diego/Alex coming to rescue the Ranarok/Yomi disciples againts the two weapon masters and ofcourse to give them a handicap, we could have had the england master show up as well so it would be Diego/Alex vs Indian,/Chinese/English master!
Then we could have had the latest chapter. This way we get a proper conclusion on the disciple fights/panel.
Oh and Erdbeerkeks, I hope Takedas hands don't go any lower...
EDIT: What happened to both Rimi the character and Rimi the hsdkfans.com moderator???

Hongo is missing as well, or is he dead? I'm not quite sure what happened to him after he lost to Senzui.
Yes, Saigi sure is a pretty boy. His mother must have been hot, because I can't imagine a handsome young Hayato no matter how hard I try.
@Ogata At least you can see where Takeda's hands are. Tanimoto on the other side...
Something else strange about the manga: Vol. 57 came out in August, vol. 58 will be out this month and vol. 59 next month. Usually there is a 2-3 month break between releases and it makes me afraid that Kenichi is really ending and they are catching up with the releases for that reason. What if we get the next 26-page chapter (how does Matsuena even eat and sleep?) next week, a time-skip future chapter the week after and then THE END? I mean they did not say anything about the manga ending, only this arc and usually the end of a manga is announced some chapters in advance. But what if? ![]()
I hope my fears turn out to be unwarranted and they just do the fast releases, because everyone wants to read this arc again and because they have so many pages from the recent over-length chapters.

If I am not mistaken, what happened is both Senzui and Kajima ended up chasing Nijimma to the control room which is 20 floors up off where Hongo fought an indisguised Senzui . after Hongo fell to the ground they all ended up in the control room.
Also Michael expressed joy saying "how lucky I am too make it here while avoiding jintusuken" He either means I am lucky to survive the technique or I am lucky to have avoided meeting Hongo while I was coming up to the control room.
Lol takeda looks very very very very happy having his arms around Kenichi
I agree on Matsuena, I believe dude needs to take some time off from hsdk so he can give his creative juices a rest and then come up with the next arc!
I am hoping more Chinese Martial arts/Tanimoto and this bad mofo needs to return to the scene as well!

There may be a break, but im sure it'll continue. Either in another arc or in another series altogether, much like hsmk(Histories strongest master :> ).

Hongo isn't dead. He got hit in a pressure point, probably one of the main ones, which paralyzed him temporarily, for a few seconds. He was already getting up when James Shiba entered the scene.
Hongo probably knows exactly where Sai.. Suzi is too, but his personality is not the type that would interfere in another fight after he had lost. So what he must have done is just to stay idle. He has no reason to help Rz and no more reason to help Yami.

I have a question for you guys! How many of you guys remember Boss Wong or aka Elder Wong?
I ask because whenever I ask people what they thought of Boss Wong, they always say "who is he?"
I thought he made some impression despite appearing in the flashback but I have noticed that he has No kenichiwiki page even nor is he mentioned in Retsumin Keis wiki or the black tiger white dragon alliance wiki page (grrrr coulden't they come up with a shorter name Grrr
!"
Meanwhile the Fox that appeared in the Ganosuke/Hayato fight has his own wiki page, is considered a legendary master and his name is written among the "Allies of Ryozanpaku" wikipage
Posted September 06 2014 - 02:26 AM
@Ogata Yeah I remember him crazy teeth guy that wanted to kill the kung fu trio in dofd... but you got to admit the fox thing is kinda funny.
Yup thats him! He looks like the love child of Santa Clause and Michael Schtilvay!
I rechecked and he made his debut in chapter 216!
Oh and I LOVE the Fox and we unofficaly named him Steve! Although if it was mother fox that attacked Ganosuke then the name is not steve!

Then wouldn't Stephanie be okay, short form Steve. As for super-anmals it reminds of stellar transformations where the animals are more powerful than humans.
There are some unanswered questions like Ma's family, Elder Wong, Blind kung fu master, Akisame's backstory, Kushinada's backstory, Ganosuke's face, Sakaki's sister, OGATA, Berseker and they also hinted there being something more with Shigure's master so I hope it's not ending. He could be taking a break tho rememer during the Jenazad fight, there was like a 4 week break.
Maybe he's rushing this arc cause he realised how much he wrote himself into a corner with Yami, personally I really liked the chapters with birdman who fought Apachai, there were no huge stakes the fate of the world was not in balance, politicians were not in the mix it was just an assasin vs apachai to save some teens. I think he should tone down the story and bring it back to the days when Kenichi was fighting other people his level just because they wanted to test their strength. A training arc would be good too.

I'm curious: wasn't the manga coming to an end already implied in chapter 559?

Naaa, I'm not buying it. We've seen the Elder do some pretty miraculous things. How do you get to a level like that just to be taken out by a mere explosion? I'm not gonna jump the gun until a release actually says he's dead. Besides, Matsuena likes to do things like that (especially with the Elder) just to emphasize the characters power level. Something that would obviously kill any normal person and yet...

Yea there's not that much to argue on here. Half the reason I think he's dead(other than the fact that it said he sacrificed himself) for story. Allowing him to be mortally injured or at least injured would allow for us to move on.

@Raigo (grrrrr quoting is not working)
I agree on the list you mentioned, I want to know more about Jise Ro who is the blind kungfu master as well as what happened to Chou enshin. I also want to know the time period that Ogata trained at ryo house and if he was a disciple. I mean, the guide book says he is 38 years old and according to akisame, when miu was too young of a brat to remember him when Ogata trained, so that could have been 12-14 years ago which meant that Ogata was 24 or 25 years old as a disciple which is pretty crazy!
No doubt we need more Chinese martial arts action and find out why Elder Wongs group erased Shaolin kungfu from the history of Chinese martial arts.

Next arc maybe, wooooooo!

I am especially curious about why, and how, Shaolin was wiped out. It would be a great opportunity to spin the next arc into yet another test of faith for Kenichi and Miu, when he learns that the strongest faction of Chinese kungfu, one with another master on the legendary class, and multiple grandmasters of the same scale as RZ and OSNF, were wiped out to the last person because they sticked to the life-saving fist to the end, defending a mountain fortress against a modern army of tanks, jets, and killing-fist masters with ties to the government...
like the 108 heroes of Mount Liang (one of the 4 classic chinese novels, based loosely on history)

I have always wondered the same thing about the Shaolin faction! To me, they would be like the Ryozanpaku when it comes to promoting the life saving fist.
I can see that the shaolin temple would have a legendary katsujinken master like Hayato Furinji and that the art of Dim Mak would have a Legendary Master much like Ganosuke who represents the satsujinken side of kungfu.
Would be cool!

Do you know what would be awesome, master class soldiers. In war, people die. Is that bad? Are they bad? No, and I would love to see some in-between action where their good people try to save lives, but ultimately this is war and shit happens etc.
