It means Hoenn is confirmed. Someone with an early copy said that the dude is from Hoenn. The facility he's referring to is the Battle Frontier which originated in Hoenn.

Yeah, I saw that! I'm so happy! It becomes pure Steel and gets the ability Filter. The thing is, I think you can find Aron in X, but its Mega Stone is in Y. The reverse is true for Tyranitar. There's some trading to be done.

I hope Mew gets a Mega form. It'll probably be an event if it does, though.
