I feel like they did their best to make her a one-shot character, pun intended. Aside from being introduced as Sakaki's former love interest with a knack for guns, she's too much of a contrast from what the series actually provides with martial arts in order to be practical in coming back. Although so far the Yami/Yomi arc with her in it is easily my favorite.

However I'd be completely okay with them giving a few flashback chapters to Sakaki's earlier days and how they actually came to get close.

His sister turning evil is more likely...but Rimi brought up a good point. But her short appearance in the manga was fun while it lasted. her bringing lunch to them during a fight was hilarious.
