Lets be honest, the whole build up was suppose to about Hayato and Kenichi vs Saiga and Kajima while Ogata would make a power move.
This was the big talk in various HSDK forum specially during the Ogata/Tanaka arc. Instead Hachiou and Senzui arc threw things out of whack! I liked the idea of Ogannosuke but there was ZERO foreshadowing that such a powerful master existed in the kenichi universe and when he did make his debut, he wasn't really used well in my opinion.
After the Ogata/Tanaka arc, I thought it was going to be about the Black Tiger/White dragon clan. Boss Wong ran the Shanghai branch which was rival to Kensei Ma clan. So my thought was, after Yami, it was going to be:
Ryozanpaku vs Black Tiger/White dragon clan
According to Apachai, china was full of unknown masters and so, instead of Ogannosuke, I thought Elder was going to be fighting the MAIN leader of the Black tiger/White dragon clan! Meanwhile Ogata would make something big happen while the Ryozanpaku vs China arc was happning...
That was my line of thinking but the armed division/Senzui arc kind of made things complicated and the fights sucked because it was all over the place...
How did you think the series was going to end?

The final confrontation was always going to be between Ryozanpaku & Yami.
The circumstances behind the confrontation weren't what I expected though. I thought it was going to be along the lines of either the Interpol/FBI finding out Yami's location or Saiga/Senzui telling Ryozanpaku during the meeting that they had (during Shigure's encounter with Hachiou).
I was expecting Ryouzanpaku to contact all the allies they had:
Sakaki would call up Christopher & Mycroft
Ma Kensei would (reluctantly) contact his wife & the Phoenix Alliance + Uncle Hakubi
Akisame would contact Taiki Yamamoto & James Shiba
Shigure would contact Kagero Kii
Furthermore, all those low-level 'Masters' who chose to side with Ryozanpaku would come as well, as well as - possibly - some of the Masters who were previously defeated by Ryozanpaku (such as Tenmon Li & Izayoi). They might even receive some aid from Indonesia. Also Danki.
Shinpaku Alliance would contact all their allies (so the Valkyries, Shinnosuke, Renka, Raichi, Odin & Rimi would be there from the start).
I thought the fight would be a large scale epic confrontation. Yami & all their associates worldwide vs Ryozanpaku, their meager support & the Phoenix Alliance (Jennifer Grey & her army would fight against the gun wielding persons of Yami).
Elder gets jumped by Mildred, Mikumo & Seitaro Raigo (to stop him from ending the fight too early).
Apachai & Agaard fight for a bit & then team up.
Sakaki & Hongou fight for a bit & then team up.
Kensei & Sougetsu fight for a bit & then team up.
Shigure & Tachibana fight - Shigure wins.
Akisame & James Shiba confront Saiga - Saiga easily wins.
Shigure attacks Mikumo, allowing Elder to quickly defeat & the other 2 & go on to confront Saiga.
Shigure fights Mikumo in a different location. Their fight ends in a draw - but Shigure sports FAR more injuries than Mikumo (massive fanservice)
Elder confronts Saiga. They are near-evenly matched. Elder barely beats Saiga.
Ogata then steps up as the final adversary. He uses 'Roar as One' & beats up the weakened Elder. Ryozanpaku uses the Infinity Formation (while supported by their allies), & together they defeat him.
Kenichi & Shinpaku would fight Yomi in another area.
Renka & Rachel would finally have a conclusive fight (likely in private, by a waterfall/river or something - Renka wins). Berserker would fight Odin, Kisara fights someone (& finally shows the breakthrough she mentioned during her fight with Chikage). Ukita, Siegfried, Thor & Freyja get to shine. Chikage still defects. Kenichi fights Hermit & wins (Hermit then fights with Shinpaku), then challenges & defeats Satomi.

I like your match ups but I am a bit confused, I have noticed that you have Seitaro, Mildred assisting Kushinada with the Elder. So it means that in your scenario, there is a Hachiou master in presence. As I was reading your match ups, I noticed that there was no Ogannosuke Yokiou presence. Now granted, other hachiou masters are pretty much cannon fodders but Yokiou-sama IS on par with Hayato Furinji.
So in this scenario, while Elder is distracted with Seitaro,Mildred and Kushinada, what is happening to Yokiou-sama?
Of course, we will pretend Senzui-bean never existed

My apologies, I'm pretending that Ogannosuke doesn't exist.
Don't get me wrong, I like Ogannosuke, but I just don't like how he was used (he was basically a plot device).

I agree with you on Ogannosuke as well! It was very cool of the author to make a character based on the legendary Miyamoto Musashi and him being a legend like Elder is only fair.
That being said, the sudden debut of Yokiou and Senzui kind of made other characters insignificant. It was very weird thing to do since the Elder was suppose to be a legendary fighter and his son Saiga was suppose to be the main antagonist of the series while Ogata was being groomed to take over.
But back to Ogannosuke, like you said, he was a plot device to keep the Elder out of the final fight. That being said, if it were up to you, how would you use him in the Kenichi storylines? ( I have a feeling he would be better of as a lone wolf type character)

A character like Ogannosuke could probably have been used in a small arc/omake. Their fight could still happen, but not during the final arc. Hell it could even be a flashback - as Elder reminisces to Kenichi about his life, he tells him about a man who was his combat equal.

Oh, I'll just revise something.
Shigure fights Mikumo, but is defeated despite using all of her weapons (Shigure is heavily injured, while Mikumo only moderately so). Mikumo is in a position to finish off Shigure (straddling her), but can't due to the effect of Shigure's paralyzing needles (taking her out of commission for the rest of the war).
Mikumo senses the defeats of Saiga & Ogata, & retreats once the needles' effects wear off (but not before rendering Shigure unconscious - not killing her out of respect for her abilities).

I like the idea of Ogannosuke appearing in a flashback or an arc. Although I feel that he should be a loner type character. In a sense similar to that bear master that trained tssuji. In a storyline that has him associated with Yami makes everyone in Yami look weak and undermines everyone's build up. In a sense Saigas ended up looking like a bum after so much progress.
That being said, I was re-reading the Ogata/Tanaka arc few weeks ago as well as Ogata mastering the Sei-dou and unleashing it on Guru Rahman and Agaard. It made me very happy that an antagonist made a significant progress! It was translated that Ogata is 28 years of age while Rahman is 59, Saiga, Agaard and Senzui are late 30s and Hayato/Yokiou are a billion years old.
That's pretty awesome as an Ogata fan! Dude came up with a technique that is similar to Gokus Kaioken attack! He pretty much took out two legit Grandmasters in an instant. Imagine how badass he could be when he is in his 30s!? His technique allowed him to go from a Ryozanpaku/OSNF level to near Legendary master status! Speaking of Goku, I have noticed that after more than 20 years, dragonball has finally been resurrected!
I am not sure what happened exactly with the Kenichi manga, but I wish and I prey that one day we will see a sequel. There is so much I want to see, the whole china arc, the bear masters in the mountain, weapon fighters training methods and Hachiou masters backstories as well as finding out if Kenicis mom is Sakakis sister and ofcourse, who runs Yami exactly, the structure and to find out if there are any more Legendary Masters...

You should flesh out/write these stories & upload them here. I'm sure it would make for an entertaining read.
Maybe you could do like I did, & commission an artist to draw a scenario/fight that you had in mind.
We can make our own stories - maybe even send them to Matsuena's website/twitter to see what he thinks.

Thanks man, I would love to do something like that but to be honest with you. What I love about HSDK manga is the unknown. Its kind of like watching Dragonball Z in the 90s.
What I mean is, now a days, any show gets spoiled on youtube because of the clips. The thing about this manga is that you had to search for it and one of the most exciting thing was, clicking on a new hsdk chapter and expecting the unexpected!!! That was such a rush. The first experience was when Future Trunks made his debut out of nowhere back in the day. That's what HSDK did for me.
That being said, I would love to hear your fan fiction, I mean, if you commission an artist and do a story on Boss Wong and his Black tiger white dragon or Michael or perhaps Michaels master and the history of scythe in HSDK then I would love to pay you for it if you have PayPal.
All and all, I would be down to do something along the lines. I still don't understand why the author cant just bring the manga back or do a different version. For example Baki the grappler has been around longer than HSDK but they have several series, the latest one is Baki-Dou.

I've been paying/commissioning artists to draw the stuff I request (which has been NSFW ShigurexMikumo for the most part).
I would love to do more, but commissions are expensive, & US$1 is several dollars in my currency.
All I plan on doing for now is getting the nude Shigure vs Mikumo fight I mentioned (drawn by mikazukishigure) finished & put up on the site (it's tasteless I know, but I've wanted to see that fight for years).
I'm sure there's an artist who would be more than willing to help you out with your ideas (& who is also affordable). Your ideas are really good - far better than mine - & I would love to see them realized.

Right now, I am taking various courses on different training methods ( plyometric, bodyweights, weight training, dynamic tension etc...) and for marketing myself, I thought about not just doing a before and after but also doing a manga style training manual to get my name out there. Like a manga inspired character training and facing a situation or a bad guy. Similar to Charles Atlas male order comics.
Ok man, I am 100 percent down with this idea and since I am not in to clubbing/weekend partying/drinking etc... I have money spend exclusively for my recreation. Somewhere near a grand. This is great, I am extremely excited and you know what, I have 2 fan fiction ideas floating around my head:
1. The story of Michael and Apchai: They both become friends originally when Apachai is working for that child trafficker. While Apachai is working for a child trafficker, Michael is working for a mob boss who is friends with Apas boss. I want a story based on friendship and later differences. Honestly, citizen_lion had the best fan fiction and opinion about Michael. Either way, we have good vs bad Shinigami type storyline on our hand and a possible upbringing of Michaels child hood.
With this fan fiction I will need help writing, my fascination with Michael is his unique form of evil. He really is an evil character but he has a bit of a goofiness to him. I don't know if its his teeth or his smile or him getting owned a lot but there is a bit of a lightheartedness to him. Now I need help because I don't understand his psychology that made him the way he is.
Anyway, I am also interested in Shigures dad making meeting and making Michael his scythe/outfit. This is because Michael is 29 years old while Shigure is 24, so I am not sure if a young Michael.
2. Second story is of course Ogata Isshinsai, I want a fanfiction that has him meeting Akisame and Kensei and his time training with Ryozanpaku. I am thinking he meets Akisame at a clinic after Ogata getting reckless with his own training and gets injured, he meets Akisame/Kensei Ma clinic through a mutual friend and once Akisame/Ma meets an injured Ogata ( late teens) he asks him what's going on and when Ogata tells him about his passion about the martial arts, Akisame then becomes moved by his drive, passion, the willingness to push himself for the martial arts.
So now Akisame/Ma are deeply impressed by Ogata to the point that they are blinded by his dangerously obsessed intent that they fail to see the darkness in Ogata. Also the first person Ogata sees performing super-human martial arts is no other than...The Bear Master!
He was the guy that trained Tsujii, he was also an ancient martial arts master, a koppou master to be exact which is an ancient Japanese martial arts. Like Tsujii, Ogata also disturbed his sleep by training loudly. In this Ogata arc, I want to do a comedic relief scene with him going face to face with Ogannosuke Yokiou since because of Yokiou destructive training is not letting the Bear Master sleep since Yokiou strength is damaging to the wilderness. Ofcourse the Bear Master is a super high level master but he has ZERO interest in developing a reputation or having anything to do with the martial arts/fight world. The fight ends with Ogannosuke seemingly winning but the reality is...the Bear Master just went in to sleep I like the idea because Hayato was sleeping too against Yokiou which it got Yokiou pissed!
Anyway these are my two ideas, but I would like to hear your opinion, which of the two story did you enjoy? Second one is easy because I get Ogatas personality and I have always wanted to see more of the bear master. With Michael, I would like to explore his background and in doing so, I like to know more about Shigures dad due to the weapon/armour connection.
Let me know what you think.
P.S: I agree with Bakis art style, for me baki is nostalgia since I knew of it for a long time. But I love HSDK so much, so many more diverse and unique characters, its kind of like One Piece in a sense.

No worries, I am new to this, I never thought you could hire someone to draw your ideas. I am going to familiarize myself with various deviantart artists before settling. I like Jadenkaiba so far but I will check out the links as well to see who has the closest art style to HSDK.

Both stories are awesome.
Your passion & love for the series is readily apparent.
However, the second story would definitely be the easier one to commission. You should definitely start with that one.
Hell, whichever artist you decide to commission might become a fan of the series while drawing these.
I'll provide a warning in advance. Artists tend to want reference images - they can draw well enough based on descriptions, but if you have a particular image in mind, it would be best to find it & provide it to the artist (I've had to spend quite a lot of time image searching as a result).

Thanks man, I agree the second story is super easy for me to write and to tell you the truth. I don't want to write Michaels story but rather, I want to read his done by someone like citizen_lion. Even way before the character infos were released, citizen_lion correctly deduced the fact that Mihail is a man who has a taste for finer things in life. After the infos were released we found out Michael loves expensive food while his dream is to become rich enough to live in a private island.
I remember in the original forum I used to post, the number of people commenting were staggering when it came to Ogata and his past. Funny thing is, people always mentioned the Bear Master who was awoken from his sleep by Tsuji. Some mentioned he might be on par with elder but there was never any proof. Either way, the Bear Master appeared in one panel and yet left a lasting impression. He would fit in well with the second story.
Now for some reason I am unable to use the function of this forum so I cant provide a link but the artist I am leaning towards is deviantarts::

His or her coloring of Senzui/Saiga custom is epic! Also, it might be easier to commission a fellow HSDK fan. But I agree with you, regarding reference image. In fact with Mihail there is a colored picture of him walking (the end of chap 535) in the color version everything was perfect except his hair color. I would prefer him having light blonde hair, truth is, he already IS a homage to Narutos Hidan so him having the same hair color makes it a pure rip off. That being said, in the colored pick, I like his earing to remain red while his hair change from grey to light blonde and the coloring of the outfit was perfect.
But for now, its best to focus on the second story. Btw I liked the Shigure sprite you posted, the person has decent prices as well.

Hey, I checked anakris art and I like their drawing style. So regarding the Ogata arc that I am working on. I was wondering if I am going to submit my story, do I write the whole thing in one email or do I structure it in chapter form like for example:
The passionate pupil:
Upon arriving to the clinic, Sensei Koetsuji meets a patient with injuries to the shoulder. " bungee jumping?" Koetsuji asks

This is it as far as first chapter goes, I am not sure if this is sounds entertaining but I am hoping to write down 5 chapters and then have it commission. For next chapter, its all about discussing training methods that old school strongmen used as well as the history of the inception of jujitsu.

This is a great start! I like it already.
This looks like a 3-5 page chapter. I have no criticisms for this.
You could try sending one chapter at a time (also keep in mind that this stuff takes time, the more popular/skilled artists are nearly always busy with other commissions). You could even try commissioning multiple artists at once.
I'm trying to get anakrisart's e-mail (assuming that it's different from the paypal e-mail) so that you won't have to make a deviantart account.
