AoK Berserker

Favorite moment was when Hermit completely destroyed Berserker while telling him that martial arts was about striving for something, not just dumb talent. Which is the reason I got so mad when Berserker came back and had hardly changed at all. Felt that kind of hurt such an awesome moment, but oh well, its still awesome.

Second favorite moment was Renka and Ma fighting Rachel and Diego. It was cool to see master and pupil side by side, and I find Rachel and Diego to be hilariously entertaining. "That's Diego quality!" Plus, fanservice...

Hate to say it cause Im a bit biased about Berserker, but what u mean he got completely destroyed? If I remember correctly it was a pretty even match, until that one moment where Hermit turned it around when he was getting pummeled in Berserker mode, then Berserker basically lost in that one moment. You might think Berserker never trains but he trains his ass off when he was chosen from Ogata to be his disciple, not only that Berserker became more friendly towards Lugh, Odin, and told Odin that he would take his training also to allow him to move on. Its just the relaxed badass exterior that you notice, that makes u think he hasnt changed. If that that was the question then during the Park arc where Berserker and Kenichi fight it out, he would of got his ass kicked, but he didnt. Hell he even broke the seikuken by looking at it once and allow Kenichi to put it up as a favor

Berserker did change. His demeanor with Kenichi is one of friendly respect, and he explained that it's not like he believes that he can easily win, but he gave Kenichi a freebie in the beginning because he likes a fair fight, and won't take advantage of Ken's psychological weakness. That is some nice maturity there. Also Berserker appeared to have stopped his tendency for random violence, and only fights when there seems to be someone worth fighting.

What I really wanted to see from way back then is the story take several steps toward seinen and becomes much darker, going into the future where Berserker matures into a carefree but generally benevolent Elder like figure, while Ken becomes a fallen hero who becomes insane after countless battles for an unwinnable ideal, culminating in Ken becoming a Jenazad-like figure (and why would this happen? 10 years of world reformation later, the world is still shitty because greed cannot be defeated, the Elder is dead. Miu is depressed and took more and more risk, and finally died too. Shigure got half her face sliced off for defending Kenichi, thus becoming his lover-by-obligation, and becomes a mother figure for the now orphaned daughter of Miu and Ken. Ryozanpaku disbanded after Kenichi became disillusioned and left, becoming a brutal vigilante). That would be interesting.

Hell, they even look the part. Ken is the same height and build as Jenazad, while Berserker is nearly the same height and build as the Elder. Give them 10 more years and they would literally be like that.

You have by faaaar the coolest avatar and no doubt Berserker is my favorite disciple as well!

I know lots of people like to think of Berserker as a villain because he trains with Ogata but its also important to note that Sakakis master was a satsujinken and the karate style Sakaki uses is a very very BRUTAL version of satsujinken. Same with Apachai who had a satsujinken master. Anyway, I am so happy that Ogata was down to earth and even complimented Lugh and Berserker.

100 percent right! Berserker is waaaaaaay friendlier than Elder was when he was young! Infact, in Tatakae/original series. In the end of chapter 2, I saw a young elder (whos face was fully revealed) pour a drink on someones head while laughing in a very cocky/smirky manner while he was bragging about picking fights with random martial artist. When he was bragging, he had a sharp jagged teeth like Elder Wong and Michael Schtilvay! Speaking of Elder Wong...how about Kensei Ma gaiden!?

Oh and I LOVE your Dark Kenichi twist but the problem is that, at the this point, Kenichi has influenced so many many people in such a positive way and that in the end. All those pictuers implied that his demeanor did infact change the world. So this theory is out of the window since Kenichi is well aware of the changes in his surronding even though he is modest to outwardly admit to it.

The end of the final chapter with Kenichis gaint forearm was bitter sweet and sad for me. In some ways, it was nice to see him grow up to be so strong but at the same time. That last page was trying to say...Its really over :(

Well I didn't mean Berserker didn't also beat up Hermit. It was pretty rough on Hermit for most of the match, but the last few blows delivered really were awesome. And for how threatening Berserker had been, it was awesome to see someone finally take him down.

I guess I was just mad to see him back so I didn't take notice at all those changes. Sorry. I did like him as an antagonist during the early arcs, I just didn't like him coming back. But thats just how I felt about it.

I started my list of fav stuff, but it would be too big.

Like most of the fights in this series, it always felt 'right' when the villain was finally put down.  I hate fights where the hero gets the shit kicked out of him, but then puts in the "One good hit" and wins.  HSDK still played the "big hit" but it always was at the end of a long ass back and forth.  The only badguy who I felt didn't take enough damage was Sho Kano.  Most of his damage came from the technique he activated.  I think he only got two straight punches on Sho in the whole fight, until the last hit.

That sort of happened with our last fight too, but Kenichi did about as much wailing on that guy as he received.
