The super speed and strength i am completely ok with. Flying, I am not.
Masters fly in some occasion (but not in fight yet) ^^

well end of Dragonball level is a good assessment as they were still an emphasis on martial arts & technique rather then huge action & ki blast everywhere.
Wasn't Ryozanblast just a giant airpalm? Wouldn't that make Elde..Garyu X a Hyuga lol?
Anyway jokes aside im glad we got to see the others during their fights,i'm not too excited for Takeda VS Lugh next chapter though.

I surprised that Kensei wasn't shirtless on the splash page since all of the other guys were. I guess Apachai or Hayato is next.
Well, the chapter itself was alright. I wish the Rimi vs. Miu fight would go uninterrupted, though. I'm very happy to see that Rimi didn't get insta-owned by Miu releasing her Dou Ki, and can fight evenly with her.
Siegfried is so funny.
I love all of his music related lines.
Renka and Rachel look so silly fighting like this. Renka should destroy this fool already.
Ukita is so annoying. Hopefully, he's been disabled for the rest of these fights. Chikage looks so awesome, though.

I like all the points that you guys brought up. and i agree. think that being that dbz is one of the pioneers ( if not the), it is kind of enevitable for mangas about martial arts, ki and facing a strong enemy or group that must be defeated, to start heading in that direction. Anyone remember YuYuHakusho? ( yeah i know showing my age again. 
) same deal. the beginning of the show looked like its own original plot but at the end of it, it looked like dragon ball with demon blood instead of sayin. not saying i did not like it, it just headed that way, and it was not exactly the same but had a lot of similarities. just the way these things go i guess. by the way did you guys know that there is a new dragon ball anime movie coming out in the theaters in japan? (im going there in feb to march, so ill keep my eyes open) its funny cause the lady that does the voice for goku and gohan is like 75 years old. lol. Anyhow good points, we shall see just how dbz-ish things go...

I think the fact that Kenichi often acts as a parody of Shonen works makes Dragon Ball comparsions inevitable. If anything, the masters abilities always scaring everyone who sees them could be considered mocking just how ridiculous Dragon Ball and its ilk got. With all that said, this manga has still managed to maintain its focus on character drama and growth, as well as cool martial arts that can actually be followed from panel to panel, my favorite kind of fighting scenes. Oh, and fanservice. So keep up the great work, Matsuena!
