Well, it's about time he got his own thread. He's a straight up boss and he's been doing some shady stuff. :ph34r:

What we know about him:

Former First Fist of Ragnarok.
Member of YOMI (Flow)
Kenichi's best friend
Disciple of Isshinsai Ogata
Can use both Dou and Sei ki
Can use a perfect Seidou Gouitsu for thirty seconds
Highly mobile despite being in a wheelchair
Likes to eat snacks

If there's anything else I should add, let me know.

Ryuto has collected a lot of info on YOMI and it seems he's planning something. Just leak the info to Kenichi and co.? Does Kajima know about Ryuto's schemes because Lugh seems a little suspicious. What do you think about this?

But, more importantly: Will he get a new suit when he learns to walk again? I think he needs a brand new one because Saiga can't be the only badass in a nice suit. Maybe a different color since his hair is grey now.

Should be Kenichi's *former* best friend. They were only friendly for like half an episode. (a chapter or two)

Also, i think he's somewhat disillusioned by the whole Yomi thing; he just doesn't seem into it very much. However, he does seem to hate Kenichi and the Shinpaku, probably due to his belief in the satsujinken.

Ryuto doesn't hate Kenichi anymore. He wasn't really hostile towards him when they were at the aquarium. He even laughed as they talked about their childhood. He left the aquarium in a good mood.

He could've killed Freya if he wanted to, but spared her. He even apologized for restraining her in a rough way. That doesn't sound like a guy who hates Kenichi and his friends.

After what happened to Ryuto, I always felt like he started resenting Ogata. It always seems like he'd rather be doing something else, away from him. He's even gone against Yomi, which was when he saved Miu from Sho.

It's evident he's Kenichi's friend other than the fact that Kenichi refers to him as such. They met at the aquarium and actually just talked. Their women kind of ruined that. lol

Yeah, Ryuto wasn't supposed to be on Despair Island in the first place. I bet Ogata knew he was there, though.

I've been wondering what will happen to Ryuto now? Ever since his last fight with Kenichi, he's been pretty rebellious. It's even gotten to the point where he's attempted to kill Ogata. It makes me wonder if he will:

1.) Stay in YOMI and continue to spy on it. Ogata forgives Ryuto for trying to kill him. Since he's so happy that Ryuto's the first of his disciples to try and kill him, he may push his training even further.

2.) Desert YOMI and find a new master. Assuming Tanaka doesn't get killed, he could become Ryuto's new master. Ryuto's style would change, though. I don't think Tanaka knows the martial arts that Ogata teaches Ryuto.

Imo, I think ryuto will probably stay in yomi, ogata doesn't seem to be the type that will hold a grudge, and with ryuto actually challenging him, he'll probably focus on training him more now than ever.

Yeah, I do see him staying in YOMI. I hope we find out about all the info he gathered soon.

Yea i have a very hard time seeing him leaving, i hope he does reclaims his role of kenichi's best friend, and number one rival.

If he actually does leave yomi he's best bet to stay relevant character wise would be to join ryozanpaku if anything.

I wonder what class of martial artist Tanaka's wife is. She's the daughter of Kai Midou, so I expect her to know something. If Ryuto leaves YOMI and Tanaka dies, it's possible she'll become his master.

yea your right that is also a high possibility, i guess in the end as long as it fits ryuto existing style (palm stikes primely right?) than he'll be able to fit right in

though personally i rather he stay with yomi and become a more capable fighter under kensei's training

Ryuto specializes in Ancient Martial Arts. We haven't been told what exactly those are, but the Elder said Ryuto's fighting style reminded him a bit of Ogata. He also knows some karate, boxing, and pankration.

No i'm aware of this, but so is techinally rimi and lugh, and they both a speciality that makes em different. Like for rimi it's her speed, lugh its his holds, and i feel ryuto's the fact he uses more palm and pin point strikes.

Hmm, you are right about that. Although, I wonder how Ryuto's style would change under a new master.

I guess both Tanaka and his wife are out of the running for ever becoming Ryuto's master. It seems he'll be sticking with Ogata.

Well, I guess the latest chapter rules out Ogata for being Ryuto's master, too. I liked how there was no words on that page, just the two of them glaring at each other.

I wonder what Ryuto will do, now. It's always possible that he becomes Ryozanpaku's second disciple. But, they might reject him if he still has that hatred in his heart. They don't want another Ogata running around.

This could also be the chance for Matsuena to introduce a new master. There are other strong masters in the world other than Yami and Ryozanpaku. If Matsuena does introduce a new master for Ryuto, I hope it's a woman. We need more women masters in this manga. :wub:

He's had a pretty large role in this manga, being the boss of the first organization Kenichi took down. Berserker did hint towards a future fight between the two, so even if he does fall into the background for awhile, he'll be back.
