[Saiga]

We haven't had an actual character thread posted in a while, so I thought I'd do one.

If you can't tell, Saiga's one of my favorite characters so far, easily in the top 3.

We actually know quite a bit about him, despite the fact that he has hardly been seen. I'll list off what we know so far.

• The One Shadow of Yami
• The Invincible Superman's son
• Husband of Shizuha (deceased?)
• Miu's father
• A former member of Ryozanpaku
• A former Katsujinken
• Akisame's best friend
• Master of Kajima Satomi
• Extremely powerful, extremely fast, good with disguises, and highly intelligent

Despite knowing all of this about him, we really have no idea why he left Ryozanpaku or when, why he killed his wife, why he became the One Shadow of Yami, and why he hides who he is from the members of Yami. All of this mystery makes for an interesting character to me.

So, what do you guys think of Saiga and do you have any theories of your own to answer the whys? (I like hearing crazy theories. :U)

Saiga's a bawss. An absolute bawss.

I have no idea why he hides his face from the Nine Fists. Maybe he's afraid they'll make fun of him. XD

I still find it funny that the show's current "Big Bad" disguised himself in such an unpredictable way. Seriously, even with all of my brain-power, i could not see THAT coming!(My jaw literally dropped)


My "crazy" theory is still the same as before: Saiga is actually a good guy who is trying to be bad to stop all the other bad-guys. (think Lelouche from Code Geass) I hold this theory because Saiga in his past seemed like someone bent on revenge, and it was Satsujinken who drove him off the edge. Also, he seems to still have kind tendencies when no-one from Yami is looking.(although he could have multiple personalities in a plot twist)

I'm saying the elder knows something about yami he wont tell the others yet
And he only knows because of either Saiga or Mikumo

Maybe because Mikumo's really smart if she sees Saiga's face she'll know that Miu's his daughter and get Chikage to fight Miu or something...

Way wild theory but it's something to work with.

Another thing for me is Mikumo is actually Shizuha. O.O

I think Mikumo knows who Saiga is. She's been around the Furinji family since WWII. She more than likely knows Saiga personally.

But, do you think she knows he's the One Shadow?

I think I said something like this in one of the chapter threads.

Mikumo probably recognizes his voice. I think Mikumo is good too. More like a double agent.

Yes I do, based on everything we know.

I think him, mikumo, and hongo are all good.

Hmmm. If Saiga, Mikumo, and Hongo are all good guys like you say....that means Ogata is our true villain here. He's the one that needs to be stopped.

Well, we still got Ethan's Master. If you ask me, his master gives me the bad feelings.

Yeah. But, I still want to think that Saiga's our big bad.

Do you guys think that Saiga's been running around in all these strange disguises this whole time? Y'know...taking notes on things while pretending to be some random dude like John? It could be a hobby of his.

I had really never thought about that. He is a master of disguise. He could have been watching the whole entire series and we never know.

I kind of want this to be true now.

Saiga's been disguising himself as Kenichi's mom and dad this whole time.
