Based on what I do know about the masters thus far, I'd have to agree and say Shigure would have the best advantage in a one-on-one fight. It does say in her description that she has a variety of weapons so I'd imagine that she's capable of adapting to whoever she would be up against.

Although Shigure ends every battle with her clothes torn into pieces (because of fanservice). Akisame is the one who's secretly the hulk.

Oh she's the fanservice character? I'm not sure how I didn't pick up on that, considering the size of her breasts when she's introduced... I find the fact that she's deadly with a lot of things as opposed to just one style to be that much more appealing, but I suppose that if she can look good while she's doing it then that's all the more reason to like her.

I feel like Koetsuji's also a pretty strong candidate as well for wininng in a one-on-one battle against the other masters, but that's just because he's acting as Kenichi's mentor at the point in the story where I'm at.
