I was told about this forum by Rimi at another site we visit together. Since they seem like a pretty welcoming person, I thought I'd give this forum and the manga a shot. I've only read a few chapters into HSDK but I hope to get to read all of it in due time. Here's to hoping we can all get along!

Hi Vermillion. How far are you in HSDK?

Hey there Vermillion! Good luck with the reading.^^ It is a great series to be hooked on. By the way, you can call me Mac.^^

Rimi: I'm currently on Chapter 8. I find that the story is hard to remain interested in during the beginning. Would you recommend anything to help with that? Because I've been incredibly tempted to just skim enough to know the backstory so I can begin getting into it faster but I feel like I'd miss out on something if I did so.

Mac: I'll be glad to do so. And thank you, it does seem like a good series but I have an admittedly short attention span so it's hard to keep focused on it long enough to truly appreciate what I'm reading. It's sad to say I'm like this with a lot of manga though, so I can't say it's the fault of the manga itself.

You're actually just on the edge of where it picks up. Kenichi will start learning movements which turn into good fighting moves. Just bear with it until chapter 25 or so and then tell me if you're not hooked.

Besides the comedy factor should be enough to keep you around. You're telling me this didn't make you laugh?

Oh I'm not saying that the humor doesn't entertain me, but when you asked me to read it in the very beginning, I was bored with it. I will say that the introduction of the masters for Ryozanpaku (correct me if I'm wrong on that) have made things a bit more interesting.

In either case I'm really hoping I end up enjoying this series. It's not the same art style that I'm used to like Samurai X, Chronicles of the Cursed Sword, and several others that I'm not sure if I can mention because of content ratings. But it's unique in that regard and I respect it enough to give it an honest shot between coursework and playtime.

When Ragnarok and the eight fists show up then it actually becomes interesting trust me.

I forgot what chapter that happens around.

I'll keep an eye out for that section then but right now I'm on Chapter 9. I've been multitasking and posting here and there while reading pages online. So if there's anything that happens between now and then, don't spoil it or else I'll lose interest entirely.

I will. Thanks again for letting me know about this community. So far everyone seems more than welcoming.

Also thanks for reminding me that I haven't been here in a day or two. I'll do my best to remain active and help you make the forum grow whenever possible. Perhaps once I get more immersed in the story I can actually help make some topics to discuss as well. :P
