New Kenichi Anime Announced With Release Date

A new Kenichi TV anime will be coming out this month. It's an 11-episode series called Kenichi: The Mightiest Disciple Yami no Shugeki (The Attack of Darkness). It will have the art style of the OVAs.It starts on the 8th. Hopefully one of the fansub groups decides to pick it up.
Some of the preview clips seem to be from the OVAs we've already seen, so i can't be completely certain that it's new material. They might just be using the ova footage for advertisements until they get more footage from the new anime.

I think they'll just air the OVAs meaning we have 2 more left
it could be a test to see if kenichi warrants a new sequel anime

It's good to know that Kenichi is back on tv, though.

I'm cool with it just being all the OVAs. Maybe we'll get super amazing DVD bundles. :3

That's a groovy opening. Did anyone notice that Kenichi was switching between his martial arts stances ddepending on which master was behind him in the first scene?
Looks like they've shown four Yomi members. And all of the Yami masters except for the One Shadow and the placeholder. Pretty spoiler free, I suppose, if except for Kenichi and Sho Kano trading blows at the end.
Only 11 eh? I was hoping that they'd be incetivized to run a 26er. Oh well. As long as it looks good. That's what's most important. Hell, Miu fighting in that third episode was some of the best animation they've ever had.
Also tits...because this is HSDK, lol.
