Natsu and Shou "Hybrid" Gaiden Summary and Pictures

The chapter starts with the usual girls saying good morning to Natsu. Natsu puts on his usual charade and waves back. Suddenly he hears a familiar ringing noise and turns around to see where the sound is coming from. He sees the sound coming from Kenichi and Kenichi shows him that the sound was coming from one of Shou's bird cage earrings. Kenichi walks away and Natsu has a flashback of his first encounter with Shou Kanou. Natsu remembers with a smile what Shou said to him and how they fought off a band of thugs together. As he watches Kenichi eat lunch with his friends from a distance Natsu remembers another conversation he had with Shou on a hilltop. Natsu then remembers the next time he met Shou, the time when he saved Kenichi from one of his attacks. Natsu reflects on Kenichi's weakness at the time and remarks on how far he'd come by the time Kenichi fought Shou in the D&D tournament. The flashback shows the fights conclusion with Kenichi blocking Shou's Issatsu and finishing him off with Mubyoshi. The match concludes with the Elder announcing Kenichi as the winner and as everyone congratulates Kenichi, Natsu disappears. We then see a new scene with Natsu sitting at a bench and he is approached by Shou's peers. Tearfully, they tell Natsu about Shou's final moments protecting Miu from multiple bullets. Natsu can only look on in shock. The scene returns to the present where Kenichi and Miu run into Natsu. Natsu speaks to Kenichi and walks away.
