The odds are even worse for shinpaku alliance but I have faith that by having the GREAT Ukita, he will most likely save the day!
In all seriousness, the only person that can save the day is Nijimma and his shit talking that may cause a rift between weapon/unarmed yomis!
Other than that, only Takeda,Miu and Kenichi are relevant here, other shinpaku members have yet to defeat a yomi member...

I'm a lot less worried for Shinpaku though, because half of the unarmed division are either ready to defect at any time, or honourable enough not to gang up on their enemies. Berserker, Hermit, and Kajima certainly will not do that.
So as long as Shinpaku plays its card right and fights cautiously, they will be ok.
One other advantage that noone knew about Shinpaku is that all of them have armour items that will resist a grandmaster's sword stroke. Anyone among them enterprising enough would capitalize on this surprise element.

It's not looking that bad for shinpaku when you consider the facts. I mean anytime now yomi's unarmed and armed divisons could turn on eachother. Even more likely now that there is no master supervising them. Although the leader of yomi right now does seem to be able to handle things

Not to mention that Kenichi and Miu are pretty much stronger that most of the other disciples there. I'm hoping the armed division rushes Kenichi and he takes a whole bunch of them out at once. It would be cool to learn that Kenichi has become an elite class or is on the verge of it. And make it that the only one capable of fighting on Kenichi's level is Kajima. But that may not happen.

I can't believe how much Kenichi has grown since the first episode. Couldn't stand up to Niijima and now he's showing up military trained soldiers.

Ukita seems to be very useless with this one, even Niijima is above him when it comes to skill in my opinion. He's the only "human" character among them.
Having them fight one-on-one will lessen their chances of winning, It's more-or-less going to be something of a sort with how the masters' batter is going.
With all of this my very question to Syun is that "where the hell is Renka while all of this is going on?" She seems to have been dumbed down into becoming just nothing more than a fan service character rather than being one of the main ones as well as Miu's rival regarding Kenichi's heart. Seems like Syun is falling apart when it comes to having quite a few things going on at the same time.

My current theory is that Okamoto is Taiki Yamamoto. There is also theory that he is a she, and is Shizuha, Miu's mother, who somehow wasn't dead, and wasn't detected as not dead by the Elder, who presumably burried everyone in the snowfield when he found them dead. That would be ridiculous.
By the way, while we are waiting for the next chapter I'll just distract everyone with a bit of analysis on Shigure. It is crazy how detailed and nuanced Matsuena's story telling has been, and I hope the quality holds so that once in a while we would find that random tidbits in the manga fits together in a surprisingly coherent way:
This is about Shigure's weakness in Ki control. There was theories that Shigure is weak in Ki control, sensing it from others, withstanding strong kis, and emitting her own. Her ability in this area is expert class at best, despite her combat ability being equal to any of the RZ's grandmasters. Many clues have been sprinkled into the manga since the beginning.
1) She needs the sword, and Kenichi's eyes, to check blindspots behind her instead of being able to sense killing intent. She relies on her sword's reflection too instead of ki-sensing to detect Apachai trying to steal her food. Now Apachai is a grandmaster too, and was hiding his ki, but you would think if he is literally right behind her back, it would be utterly impossible to hide his ki from someone's of equal level, unless he knew (from being her friend) that she is not grandmaster level at ki sensing.
2) She constantly reacts a bit late to Kensei's perverted antics even though Kensei is very comically slow and clumsy when he does this. This is further compounded by the fact that later on we see her slowly getting better at spotting Kensei, which lends credence to the theory that Kensei, an old master, does this partly to train Shigure on the thing that she is weak at (in that strange, lovably ecchi way of his
).
3) In every scenes involving the Elder going crazy with his ki, Shigure is always affected the most, almost as much as the likes of Kenichi and Miu. Akisame and Ma would seem to be completely unruffled, and Apachai and Sasaki would get hyped up but doesn't feel pushed back.
4) Shigure is known as the best in the group in sneaking, stated by the Elder himself in the DnD arc, which either means that she is very good at hiding her ki, or that she has a very weak ki that would easily be concealed, or even if sensed, look almost like a "relatively normal" person's.
5) Shigure sensed Lugh and thought that he was a master of higher caliber than Fortuna (she knew that the disciples could already beat someone of Fortuna's level on their own, when they were a lot less skilled). Lugh's ki alarmed Shigure enough that she rushed back to protect the kids.
6) Shigure failed to sense 7 grandmasters on a ship until she is more or less right on top of them. They had no reasons to conceal their kis either.
Interesting eh?

Citizen lion you are SPOT ON and...
Dont forget, before the d&d tournament, Nijimma went and spied on Ryo to find out the location since ryo masters forbid the shinpaku kids to participate and when Nijimma was spying, Shigre sensed someone and Nijimma hid from her and she thought it was just a statue even though it was Nijimmas shadow mirroring one of Akisames statues.
Ofcourse ppl will argue that Nijimma had no killing intent therefore there was no way for Shigure to know he was spying But so was the sniper on the roof who was fooled and discovered by ryo masters before he gave out a killing intent since his job was to just observe them and before he made his mind to take out one of the ryo masters, apachai sneaked behind him took him out quick!

@Ogata that is also spot on. We can say that all the other masters missed Nijima too, but Shigure was the closest, and also Shigure's slashing the wrong thing also created a distraction to make it easier for Nijima to stay unseen.

Also another thing that bothered me about her Ki sensng was the return of Hachiou Masters!
She basicly overheard the yami guards saying they have returned which made her panick and look for a phone in haste.
You would think she could sense their return before they apeared before the guards and yet she found out through overhearing the guards.
This is very strange considering that she needs Ki sensing more than other ryo masters since her being part of the weapon world means that she has to deal with opponents who have no problem with sneak attacks. While unarmed fighters tend to fight people face to face without sneaking up like weapon martial artists.
