HSDK Battle 556 Released

Not my favorite chapter, too much sentimental yammering goin on in this chapter. I guess Miu knows about Saiga, so it is gonna be interesting when Saiga and Miu interact for the first time.

They do seem to be acting like this will have some real finality to it... it will be sad if that true

It's an important chapter if only because it gives us a moment to stop in expectation of what is to come.  The author isn't entirely averse to death; the heroes may not be unscathed in challenging Yami.

I get the feeling someone will end up like

"a certain character from another manga that is in the final stages of it's war arc"

Oh, and if there is an arc where Miu and Ken will slowly start to drift apart, this would be it. I mean, I know Ken loves Miu with a burning fiery passion that is suspiciously like childhood crush, Miu is not naturally attracted to him. Many clues throughout the series...

As much as I hate pushy women, Ken really belongs to Renka (if she can just calm down a bit she would be perfect) or Shigure (she's already perfect)

Everyone is suspicious of Okamoto but is impressed by him too. Miu knows that her father is the One Shadow, courtesy of Takeda's big mouth. Takeda all but declared his love in front of Miu. Kisara and Freya also made it quite obvious that both of them are into Ukita, who is even more lame than he normally is. Freya and then everyone showed their resolve. Nijima and then Kenichi showed their badass leadership and speech giving skills.

Oh, and a really important detail, Miu and Freya are getting their jump suits and jacket from the same store now, apparently.

Sieg could've made some sort of confession.... Anyways, Syun could've added some insight to Elder's battle.

I think we'll be returning to the Elder's war soon. Hopefully, Matsuena hasn't forgotten about him. We also need to see his opponent's full face.

Also, I hope Ryuto shows up again. With the majority of Ragnarok participating, it wouldn't feel right for him not to get in on the action. There's also Loki, but I don't think he's coming back anytime soon.

 Freya's attraction to Ukita is as bland and unnecessary as ever. She should be into Takeda.
