Awesome chapter! We can see here that the Elder was indeed a good bit above Jenazad in strength, simply based on the size of the explosions they can cause with their moves when they aren't holding back.
Jenazad was actually still holding back a little bit at the end of the Hongo battle, but his best move at that state created a crater that looks to be about 7m across, while the Elder's best move created a bomb crater 10m across. Even if Jenazad went all out, it probably would have made a crater 8m across at most.
But thankfully, we now know that the Elder is not a super saiyan 3.
#extremenerdiness!
But I'm looking forward to see Akisame and Ma truly go all out. I highly suspect that both of these are also Jenazad-class.

Well, Elder's hair is already long and blond so maybe he already has gone Super Saiyan 3? Although he still has his eyebrows in tact.
But anyway, I enjoyed seeing Akisame get really serious about something. It's horrible to get someone like Apachai mad, but I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that making Akisame mad is even worse than that. I don't think I'd enjoy being on the receiving end of that.

I personally believe Akisame is the biggest most threatening badass of the group

I believe that Ma is actually even more scary than Akisame, though only by a little bit. The thing about Ma is that up to this very point, we have never, ever seen him getting anything more than goofy about anything.
But seriously Matsuena san really need to get the plot on, and get back to Kenichi somehow. Reduce the drawing quality if necessary. I'm not sure if anybody really cares about superhigh quality drawing, if the success of Shingeki no Kyojin is anything to go by.
For context: Shingeki no Kyojin is a half started manga with 1980-1990 style finish and very rough quality of drawing except for a few climactic scenes, but a LOT of very intense action and plot that actually moves! It gained instant popularity, and an anime run that probably got about 5 times the budget of the HSDK anime.

You know the sh*ts about to hit the fan when Akisame gets mad. It's always the quiet 1's that are the most dangerous.

I had a thought sometime today, that if I was in the Elder's position, I would have launched a relentless flurry of fast attacks right now, because after eating a big protein meal is when the body is at the slowest, due to the energy spent on digestion.
This is doubly true for raw meat.
And it would fit well with what the Elder said about patience, since Gannosuke attacked right after eating the bird.

Kind of irritated when Sakaki had the nerve to punch Christopher.
It's also nice that Ryozanpaku all believe that she is dead. It would have cut the dramatics if Akisame had said, "Well, perchance because of her history, they may not kill her." Believing she is dead makes it all the more painful for the heroes - and tickles the reader all the better. Or at least me. I'm tickled.

Elder may be dead. The swordsman may poisoned his blade just in case he gets lucky, and he did.

If The Elder was poisoned, he'd probably just do some amazing move of destiny and destroy the poison. I mean, he's The Elder. One does not simply poison The Elder.
I'm excited for today's chapter though. Akisame is upset, so you know things are about to get real. Really, really, real.
