Sakaki was funny in this one and that fan service with Shigure... was she flirting with Kenichi again?

I loved the panel where Shigure fell over. She seemed to be pretty bored.
Anyway, this scythe guy is gonna look lame. I can already tell from that profile view of him.

I really wonder how the fights with the masters will go. Will they attack as a group, or will they perform one-on-one fights? From what we've seen in this manga, it's probably going to be 1 on 1. But then, who will be fighting who?
I suspect Kensei Ma will face Sougetsu Ma and perhaps a fight between Akisame and Kushinada. Other than that, I really can't predict anything.
And why in the world is this chapter called "Kisara's Cat Eye"?

The message, "Kisara's Cat Eye", is referring to the cover page featuring Kisara. I'm pretty sure those messages are put in by the editors of the magazine because they usually don't appear in the volumes of the manga. The name of this chapter is "Head-On Collision" or something similar to that.
I don't think Ryozanapaku and OSNF are going to fight right now. Maybe they'll just monitor them or something.

I had to go stem the nosebleed before I can comment... Shigure is so dangerous! Poor Kenichi if he ever decides to go for it though. Shigure has monstrous muscular strength, especially in her lower body. I'll leave it at that...
The new guy in the hachiou is an extremely lame and generic design... Did Matsuena just play one of the new final fantasies or something? Why can't we have a ninja or something so that there will be a battle of wit instead of the usual head-on clash? How can this new guy even compete with Sai Kagerou: taller, his sword is about the size of a scythe anyway, similar fashion sense, except Kagerou looks cooler with it... Rant ends.
As for fight order, I don't think that Kensei and Sougetsu will fight again, mainly because it would be boring, and a bit out of character, as their differences were laid bare and more or less resolved with the previous fight. If Kensei really wanted to truly end the fight, he would have been able to do so in one move (he seriously wounded Sougetsu to the point that he could not stand up, with ONE punch, and that punch was not all out)
Sougetsu would have improved vastly now, but to say that he has caught up to Ma is unlikely. But he should make a decent match for Apachai or Sasaki now.
My ideal pick would be Ma vs. Mikumo and Akisame vs. Ogata. Saiga won't fight yet.

Chapters like these really make me wish it was next week already.
The masters are so awesome for just confronting the OSNF like that. I can't wait to see some fighting. Inb4 there's no fighting and they talk it out like adults.
Shigure was... Well, I think everything about Shigure has already been said so it's not like I could add to the conversation.
I'm interested in her actions towards the executioner blade more than anything, tbh.

There are already some logical matchups that could happen:
Akisame vs Mikumo
Ma vs sougetsu
Sakaki vs Hongou
Apachai vs Agaard
Of course, these matchups seem pretty obvious, so they might end up switching the order around completely.
I doubt Saiga or Ogata will be doing any fighting; Saiga is probably too strong for them, and Ogata just did some fighting not long ago. Anyway, the numbers won't really matter here, since the OSNF are at least polite enough not to butt into other people's fights.(most of them...)

I actually doubt that Saiga is "too strong" for them, though. He may be stronger, but the Hongo vs. Jenazad fight had shown that the gap between fighters of the same class is closable with heart.
I think from all that has been shown, like how Jenazad mirroring the Elder's feats almost one for one (Amnesia fist, shouting in ultra sonic, pool splitting kick, etc.) and how the Elder could not defeat him (or even incapacitated him in any meaningful manner), I think we can safely say that Jenazad was the Elder's equal, and Hongo overcame that power. I doubt the Elder would have held back an iota of power against someone who had gone down the path of Demon.
But I think Akisame will fight Kensei, being the master who cared the most about the Tanaka incident, and Ma will fight Mikumo (or Mikumo will pick a fight with him, for being the only person who had chased all of her mirror images so closely).
Edit: I am intriqued by Akisame's newest training machine, by the way. An "unshakable clinging ghost" machine to train strength and throwing technique? The dummy seems much bigger than a normal person (compared to say, kenichi), and is probably permanently tied to kenichi, so that when kenichi throws it, he falls in circle with it? Is Akisame waiting for the moment when kenichi will remember, and execute, his "infinite spinning throw" (shown during the fight with Gaidar?

I am confident there will be no fighting. OSNF had an announcement to make on television. It'd be odd if everyone busted out fighting. Maybe some members will stall Ryozanpaku, which means we won't get very fleshed out fights.
I do think Sougetsu and Kensei Ma will have a rematch some day. Since Sougetsu is working with Yami again, I don't think it'd be appropriate for anyone else to fight him. Plus, all that tension in the fight would be awesome. That's one of my most anticipated fights.

Very good analysis, although I disagree with the last statement, except as a fight to show Ma's true power (and how much he had actually held back). The last time Ma heavily injured Sougetsu with one punch. This time we may see him being pushed, and then at the end, when seeing another comrade get pushed, or perhaps being made aware about the armed group's movement toward Ryuzanpaku, he would show his true power and win, but then commended Sougetsu for having improved enough that he had to go all out.

Well, there are plenty of things that could explain the difference in power. Matsuena may have not thought that he'd use Sougetsu again and wanted to get him out of the way. There could've been pressure from the editors to finish up the fight. It's been almost two years since that confrontation. That's plenty of time for Sougetsu to catch up. When they were younger, they were equals. Kensei does explain that the difference in skills years later was because Kensei had friends to train with and Sougetsu always trained alone. Whether or not this is used again is up to Matsuena.
I have a hard time believing that he won't protray the two brothers as equals or very close in power.
I found this from Chapter 399:
It seems the scythe guy has been defeated by Apachai or at least fought him.

Great find, Joe. Now that you've shown us some connection between those two, I would really hate for it to never get brought up. I hope Matsuena hasn't forgotten.
