Since there's a Weapon equivalent of the OSNF and probably a yomi equivalent to that, I wonder if that means a weapon affiliated Shinpaku Alliance is going to come about. Let's be honest, the valkyries are pretty useless.

Valkyries are for fanservice.
Anyway I really like this whole "prison" concept. I think it's pretty interesting to look into.

Some great art and paneling in this one. I truly felt fear in the panels just before they revealed the swords master. He has an intimidating sillouhette. Is this guy the next Junazard?

I really hope that this arc would involve the whole Hachiou attacking Ryuzanpaku in general, so that we will see all the other masters fighting. It has been a while and I really want to see the improvements of the other masters (they should all be able to do some water run by now
)
I guess one of the Hachiou is Sai Kagerou, who is out of the game due to his ally status to Shigure. Two are taking on the Elder.
That leaves 6, for Shigure, Apachai, Sasaki, Akisame, and Ma.
That means it is possible that Sai Kagerou will officially switch side and fight against one of his original team.

The Kodachi user is boring.
I hope the rest of the weapons team isn't like him. Judging from his silhouette, Ganosuke seems to be an old man. I think he might have a mustache, too. Wouldn't it be something if Shigure's one-armed father was a member of this weapons team?
I'm pretty sure he cut his arm off to fall to his death.
I'm pretty sure Sai Kagerou is no longer a fighter. He became a farmer or something after Shigure defeated him. Maybe he'll come out of retirement during this conflict.
I don't think there will be a weapons team Shinpaku Alliance. Matsuena would have to introduce a bunch of new characters just to combat these people, and it'd make Shigure's gauntlet-making useless.

I'm sure they'd like to kill Elder but apparently they realize it's not that simple. Their plan is to keep him occupied and away from ryozanpaku. The whole "imprison him with fights" concept is pretty self explanatory. I'm not surprised that there was someone in weapons users on par with Elder though. If he was strongest in melee then someone would have to be strongest in weapons.

I just notice that Kenichi is definitely taking after Sasaki clearly now, even down to his appearance... XD

The point of this battle is to stop the elder or keep him busy long enough for Yami to execute eternal sunset.
The elder is so strong and if the other guy is on his level, then this will(should) end with one or both of them dying or the elder getting near-death like injuries. That is the only way the elder can be stopped or slowed down.

This makes things a lot more interesting! Up until now the Elder has practically been a plot device in and of himself but it was so much so that it made it virtually impossible for the antagonists to be any real threat to Ryouzanpaku.
But this right here! To be invincible is like being a limit on a graph. What happens if an object that cannot be stopped meets another object that cannot be moved? Those objects simply cannot exist in the same plane of existence.
Shit just got serious.

If this guy is distracting the elder, And based on what Raigou said to use fights as a prison I assume that the other members of the Hachiou Executioner Blade might attack on Ryouzanpaku since that went through all that trouble to lead elder away. But thats what I hope for to happen :3.
Anyway I hope this arc focuses on Ryouzanpaku more then the Shinpaku Alliance.

This is Deus Exit Machnia: removing the one guy who can solve the plot in seconds. But its a pretty good version of it.

Is it okay if I say I liek the Shimpaku Alliance better than the Rozanpaku? In terms of fights at least? I have a very hard time following Rozanpaku battles, and I usually know who's going to win, where as Shimpaku have more normal fights that I can follow, and I can root for up and coming warriors. I do like the Rozanpaku though, especially when they're being teachers to Kenichi.

I suppose that's true, though it seems he's decided to introduce a lot of new characters for this arc anyway.
I'd say it's possible after we find out how much more superior the weapon users are. We all know they're going to be OP at first.
No worries. Elder isn't going to die in this fight. He is invincible.

It's supposed that the Elder is invincible but also it's supposed that a fighter must be three times stronger than a weapon user to defeat him and if the leader of the Hachiou is invincible too, what will happen? Do you think that the Elder will die? Do you think that Saiga will let that the weapon team kill/defeat his father?

Don't worry. The Elder is not going to get killed by a character that came outta nowhere. This is just to stall him and keep him away from Ryozanpaku. I also don't see this leader guy losing during his first appearance. I see this ending in a stalemate.

Elder will likely have to extend himself and use 2% of his full power this time...

It makes me wonder, how did the Elder get strong, because to get significantly stronger, you must practice with something that is around your level (or stronger, but if you are the strongest then this does not apply). So if the Elder at 2% would be enough to beat two-sword-guy-who-is-not-as-cool-as-Sai-Kagerou or Junazard, then what exactly helped him gain the other 98% of his power?
the answer is...
...Kaijus. Yes, the old man was the reason why Godzilla went into retirement, because the world has been passed on to good hands.
