I love those weapons! The campiness makes them the best.

Also, I don't particularly like Miu's personality, but that cover!!!! My brain is broken now.

Interesting idea on the armour. I didn't think of that at all, but it makes sense since they are all katsujinken.

The question would be "what kind of armour", I don't want it to be an "all tekkou" crew because that would be boring as heck...

I'm torn whether I want Kenichi to start using a katana or not. As cool as it would be I don't think weapons suit his character well at this point.

Hopefully Shigure is a good enough teacher and they don't get distracted... I mean, it's a real possibility. 

I see it as shigure teaches them about weapons so that they are better able to defend themselves.

Seeing that the alliance are around Yomi grade now, and so being all "near peak human", I wonder why Shigure don't just get a paintball gun and start shooting at them (of course Shigure has to do the shooting to avoid hitting eyes and ears). When they are used to dodging singleshots, graduate to semi auto, and then finally dodging full auto paintball.

When the disciples are able to dodge paintballs on full auto, they would probably be very near master class in terms of speed (if not outright master class, since Sasaki and Hongo were not true bullet timers when they were low master class, only aim dodgers, and imperfect aim dodgers at that).

You too huh? I do recognize the need for a transitional chapter, but this was real slow. I did like Kenichi and Miu hanging out the whole chapter though. The way they talk to one another is like they're already a full on couple... its cute to me!

Shigure looks quite matronly in that shot. Must be her motherly instinct surfacing when protecting her "kids" (althought they aren't really much younger than her, just less mature).

Sieg style would become truly devastating with a blade, but I don't think a sword/scimitar/dao would be ideal since it changed his attack range too much, making him more vulnerable up close. Also the appearance of an obvious long weapon will make opponents cautious to stay out of his range and use opportunistic and counterattack tactics, which will wrong foot Sieg since he IS the counterattack specialist.

I would give Sieg one of these http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Karambit Difficult to disarm due to a built-in finger ring, inconspicuous looking enough not to deter enemies from attacking first, and finally the blade curve outward along your forearm, so in a pinch it could be used to deflect weapon strikes (without having to use the karate deflection technique, which, in my opinion, is a highly risky technique that should be taught as reflex and precision training but should never be used in "real life (even in manga )"

Edit: in retrospect the masters aren't as irresponsible as I thought They teach Ken that technique for use while wearing a tekou, so it's ok.
