Welp, she is alive. And I'm not too disappointed, really. Of course, I didn't really expect her to die. If cute girls start dying in this manga it'll be too much like Victory Gundam....

Glad that arc is nicely wrapped up. I actually appreciate the whole arc better now with the conclusion here in this chapter. Important stuff happened, even if the pacing got a little slow. And Ogata is shown to be even more complex....

Yay Rimi is alive! She looks far more adorable than usual for some reason.

I noticed that I was wrong about Thor carrying Lugh. It turns out, that was Ukita. And today, we see that Lugh was being carried by Ogata. I wonder what's going to happen to Lugh. Ogata did mention that he might leave martial arts altogether. I never really liked him, so I wouldn't be sad if we saw less of him.

It's good to see Kenichi isn't going to let Tanaka's death bother him too much. I wonder if this will make him think twice about fighting Master Class opponents. What happened to his gauntlets, though? Is there a special purpose for them and that's why he didn't have them on during training?

According to the Elder and Akisame's conversation, it seems that Ogata was bullied during his childhood, like Akisame. I'd like to see a flashback to see kid Ogata.

Rimi is alive! Yay! It also seems that she likes to play jokes on Ryuto. I loved that panel where he got angry at her and said, "no", when she asked if he was worried.

It was nice to see Matsuena explaining that Ogata stopped Rimi's ki the same way Tanaka stopped Ryuto's. I wonder if this will ever be applied in fights. I also wonder if this will work against Dou and Sei individually or just the combination of them. Her commentary while she was behind Ryuto was also funny. Her hospital outfit looked cute, too. Even though I liked the Gothic Lolita look, it's nice to see her in something different for a change. There was even cleavage!

I also noticed that Ryuto's outfit has changed. There's text on his shirt, he got new shoes, and he's finally wearing jeans! I don't know if it's just the cleaning job, but it looks like his jacket is slightly different, too. Out of all of the disciples, Ryuto stayed with Ogata the longest, like I suspected.

It seems that Ogata's going to take a break and it's the weapons division's turn. Since the weapons division has finally shown up, this may mean we'll get some Freya/Shigure action!

Kenichi x Miu was in danger of dying?

Ryuto needs to stop being a tsundere at some point; he should have already crossed over the "dere-dere" threshold by now.

Anyways, Kenichi is back to training as usual, and we got a teaser for the next group of enemies. I hope dealing with the weapon group will mean Kenichi learns some weapon skills, instead of just blocking with his gauntlets... Weapons-training means some Shigure-service

Major leap in Kenichi's character. I was expecting him to take it more harshly but it is clear that his dedication to martial arts will not waver. Tanaka's death must certainly have affected Kenichi but I think it will be a positive. Tragedy can often bring out a persons true colours and this will be a driving force to improve a lot. If you think about, to be able to protect all of the one's he cares about, Kenichi is going to have to be better than anyone. Though he may not realize it yet, by saying he wants to be strong enough to project the ones he cares about, it is basically the same as saying he has to be the strongest in the world- in history! I am expecting great things from this series.

I'm interested in that too. I think they'll either join Ryouzanpaku or Shinpaku eventually, but I think it would be a lot more fun if they joined the former.

I haven't actually read the original HSD series, but I've heard that in the end, Berserker and Kisara ended up joining Ryozanpaku. Matsuena might take a page from his original series and have Ryuto and Rimi join.

I hope so. But speaking of that, I actually did read the first chapter or so of the original series. It's kind of like an alternate reality Kenichi. However I wasn't a fan of what I read. Mostly because, if I remember correctly, Kenichi dosen't seem to have the same attitude towards martial arts. But also I read the current version first, so I'm biased toward it.

Whatever happened in the original version, in this one, Berserker is still a villain. Most importantly, he is now Ogata's most promising disciple. While his character was kind of lack luster with everything going on the last few chapters I think he will become a much more prevalent antagonist in the future arcs. I had originally watched the anime before getting into the manga and he was my favourite character- second only to kenichi. I am hoping he can finally live up to his pure talent. I am going to go out on a limb and say that he will be second only to Kajima in Yomi.

I dunno about Rimi, but Ryuto is not leaving the martial arts world. He's finally rebalanced his ki and gained control over Seidou Gouitsu. If he was going to leave, he would've left a long time ago.
