Well, I was right about the Siegfried vs. Hermit fight. I think there was a missing page at the end, though.
I guess the next chapter will be Ogata demolishing Tanaka. I wonder if Mikumo will watch.

As the de facto Ma Kensei on this board, since I haven't seen anyone else using him as the avatar, I hereby declare Rachel to be master class in, eh, distraction power.
Also, on a more serious note, Rachel seems to have absurd level of raw potential. She is more or less the equal of Renka, who is properly trained, after haven't been trained by Diego (or anyone for that matter, since she appeared not to have taken up anything new) for a long time. And by simply let loose with her, again untrained, raw strength, she briefly overpowered Renka.
Also that sylhouette of her with the upstanding hair is so... arg... Ma-style restriction technique!!!!!
Also I'm happy to see that Sieg does not seem to have given his all in that fight, since Hermit cough blood and looked battered, but Sieg still looks almost spotless at the end of the fight. But i don't think Sieg loses on purpose, but it's more like he has a lot less tenacity and motivation to win than the rest of them (there is no one to protect there, after all).

One of Yami was watching their disciples fight. Called it.
And so all of YOMI lost except Nacchi... interesting.

Did anything else happen during the chapter other than Renka x Rachel? I can't seem to remember anything else.

Yes. Hermit defeated Siegfried and Mikumo took Chikage away. Nijima did some strange things, too.

Guess I'll just have to wait for MangaStream to see all of that.
Or not. I'm sure I'll get distracted again. Their scans are higher quality. :<

Technically yes. Although Chikage simply had a change of heart after owning Kisara and Ukita, so I didn't really think of that as much of a loss. And Natsu-Chan is really part of Shinpaku deep down whether he knows it or not.
And also I know it would have been kind of weird to have Seig beat Hermit, but I was actually voting for that to happen. Was I the only one?
I'm really looking forward to the Tanaka vs Ogata fight. It should be pretty sweet! But what's going to happen after the whole amusement park thing is done? Doesn't Kenichi still have to fight Saiga's disciple? And since almost all of Yomi lost, how is that helpful to the Eternal Setting Sun?

You were not, I was voting for Sieg to beat Hermit too.

Mikumo's awesome awesome boobage showed up. Other than that, there was the Renka x Rachael service... I mean fight.

Judging from how Sieg actually looks less battered than Hermit at the end, Hermit will have a very hard time pushing the fight toward its fatal conclusion. It is also possible that he will lose if he tries to push Sieg until he has to resort to "tenacity power"...

Awww.... I wanted Sieg to win with the power of friendship!!! And I'm a bit surprised about Rachel's strength; without using flashy techniques, her offense becomes much more efficient, although easier to predict.
I think i was the first to specifically call Mikumo watching Chikage's fight. It only makes sense seeing as Chikage was always the most likely to hesitate when fighting, and Mikumo knew that.
Looks like Ogata/Tanaka and possibly Kenichi/Berzerker will be the last fights. That is, unless someone else unexpected shows up. I'm always on the lookout for Kajima, Saiga's disciple, but there's no foreshadowing about him showing up, and no logical reason for him to be there.(especially with no one to fight)

Mikumo and Ogata are in charge of this whole amusement park trip, so it makes sense that they're here.
I don't think Kenichi's in any condition to fight Berserker, though.

I was happy that Renka vs Rachel turned into an actually interesting fight, on top of the gratuitous fanserive, something that Miu vs Rimi kind of flubbed on. Hearing Rachel's brief background adds just a little more dimension to her too, which is good if she's going to stick around.
Sad to see Seig lose to Hermit, but it was a cool bunch of pages seeing them interact. And it seems they are very near evenly matched.
So I got my oh so lovely Renka and my stupendous Seigfried, all in one solid chapter. I'm very happy
. I might need to start shipping those two now... nothing like a crack pairing every once in a while!
Oh, and Chikage's break down was sad but oddly cute. Mikumo might be gorgous, but she has my disdain! What a horrible "mother"!

@InjuredPelican Chikage is always cute. I loved it when she went "child mode" at one of her classmate's birthday parties.

Grandmother if I'm not mistaken, but either way I agree with you.

I thought they weren't related by blood? If i recall, Chikage was adopted by Mikumo after she was discovered to be a child-genius.

This is one of the reasons that I wish Kenichi was a seinen manga instead of Shounen. The plot and themes of Kenichi could have grown into a really beautiful thing, but it was stunted by shounen conventions. The bad guys never ever attain any significant victory is one of the most annoying of these tropes to me.
Regarding Mikumo, I'm not sure why but I can't possibly find her attractive in any way. Her personality really kills any attraction anyone might have for her. Even Ma Kensei did not feel his ero bone tingling when meeting with her!

It's because her boobs are intimidating....They stare into your soul...
She's also kinda like an evil version of Tsunade from Naruto. (incredibly strong, uses secret skills to look young, etc)

@Cam
Oh yes, the giant boobs probably had some intimidation power... But if she had an oh-so-sweet personality to match, then the boobs would have turned into the legendary orbs of gravity, with unimaginable attraction power.
On a more serious note, Mikumo probably became what she was because the Elder, long ago, ignored her. She was originally probably just a silent, introvert, and slightly harsh individual, and the Elder, being a very carefree person, did not make the effort to start a relationship with her.
I have to wonder what kind of character the Elder's wife / lover was, probably a very cheerful person who did not face the fire of wars together with him as Mikumo did. THAT kind of comparison would completely screw up a perfectly good woman's heart, for sure...

That's what i thought as well, but she functions as a maternal figure, and thus I despise her abuse and twisting of her position.
