A badass chapter. Got some great action shots from Takeda this time! But its good to see Lugh isn't done either.

Great chapter. I know it's a long shot, but i think Tanaka's got something in store for the great sage fist. Something about that guy.

The warp punch (temporary) made me laugh. Must be hard to try think of cool names for moves on the spot, so it's in the ki feint category similar (but not as good) as the ki throws Akisame and Junazard use. Also so all the people saying masters must be lurking about were right, Ogata makes his appearance I wonder why he's making his presense known mid fight, that surely counts as masters interfering with disciples fights.

I know a curb stomping is likely, but it just seems like the guy has had too much mystery and build up just to get rape faced. Also, who knew anti weapons tech worked so well against blind submission men

YOMI masters dont all play by that rule. Ogata tried to get involved once before when Kenichi fought Ryuuto only to be cut off by ryozanpaku masters. Now that Ogata revealed himself its only a matter of time before Tanaka shows up.

Good point I completely forgot about that. I wouldn't say that all YOMI masters are like that though.

Yeah, I would'nt be suprised if he gets the tragic hero sacrifice treatment.

I really dont think Tanaka is the right person to be the sacraficial lamb. He hasnt really been around enough for readers to feel attached and he hasnt be involved with Kenichi and the gang too much for his death to set everyone off. If they are gonna kill someone off as a way of helping everyone to amp up they have to kill someone everyone is close to like Ukita or Takeda.

Yeah, but the opponents Kenichi has defeated have been in his disciple class, not two levels above him! There was that Pengulu dude in Tidat, though. I think he had just become an Expert Class fighter and I think Kenichi and Bulu defeated him together. But, that's not the point.

Tanaka vs. Ogata is almost like Kenichi vs. Tanaka. You know the latter fighter is gonna lay the SMACKDOWN on the former. If this was Meatman or some other Expert like him, I can see Tanaka opening up a can of whoop ass. I think he could give a low-level master a good fight if he actually made it to that level. But, Ogata? Oh, no, no.

I don't see why it has to be someone from yomi for the series to progress. Any death will move the series forward in some way.

It's obviously not Freya since Ryuto doesn't want to kill her. Lugh just got stomped, so Takeda is out of the question. Berserker killing Kenichi=LOL! Rimi killing Miu=LOL! Hermit and Siegfried...hmm...possibly. Chikage just flattened Ukita. I think it might be Ukita.

Ogata is a type of person that fights for the sake of fighting. I agree as well; it seems that morality is trivial in his eyes.

Tanaka's look kind of reminds me of a Clark Kent/superman kind of guy especially with the fact that he is able to perform superhuman feats as we have seen as is only natural when one is falling off the cliff of becoming a master and I am sure he is even more skilled (especially in a life or death fight) but we need to look at the facts. Ogata, while not only being a student of the Ryozanpaku at some point in the past, is the textbook definition of: "Badass". He doesn't even wear shoes. And all of his clothes and hair are pure white (in the anime anyway since everything is black and white in the manga). And his eyes glow. And he lives in a forest. I foresee a possible high-level skirmish between the two but the odds against Tanaka are slim to none (more so than even the Hongo and Junazard fight)



The chapter itself though was pretty intense. Takeda was able to turn the tables a bit showing that he actually has a chance in this fight but I dont think it is the deciding factor because I wouldn't put it past Ogata to give Lugh some instructional pointers during the fight so the odds may quickly turn against him again. (It is awesome fights like these that make me wish the actual anime series could be rebooted). Lugh still has some confidence it seems in his ability as well so there is still a chance that Takeda could be killed.

I strongly agree with Rimi. We already know Ogata is a killer because we have seen it shown on multiple occasions. This trial, however, is designed specifically for yomi to embrace the philosophy of the Killing Fist.

They cant be all talk forever. They may only be teenagers at most but Yami is Darkness so it does not matter how old they are. To kill or not kill: that is the moral question that yomi are forced to face here and it will define their futures from this point forward. My point is that there will only be meaningful progression in the plot if the yomi kill someone because we already know Ogata has taken the path of asura.
