Starting on December 3rd Matsuna will draw a new weekly series.

The life of the totally normal boy Tokiwa Yasaka(?) who is assembling a ninja, a sorcerer and an AI starts.

Uhm, I'm not really sure if I got this translation right, but it seems like he's going to unite all three one shots into a single story. I wonder what this is going to be. In before this is going to be a card battle manga. Or some average high school boy gets magical friends manga.

Edit: Stupid typo in the title. It's "Tokiwa Kitareri!"

Dam, I think I'm starting to like these now. I can see some matching universal logic starting to show up.

I glanced at the topic for in a split second and misread it as "New Series! Ukita..." and I had the mental image of Ukita leading his own martial arts manga, being epic, becoming far more epic than Kenichi, finally beating a secretly healed (by the government I guess) Sho Kanou and become master class...

History's Unluckiest Disciple Ukita

*******

I just read an article about the new series that gives a little bit more info. All three oneshots act as prequels. MC is the totally average boy Tokiwa from oneshot 3 who lives together with this AI/Robot/Cyborg/whatever you want to call it. Strange things happen at his school.

I hope someone decides to pick it up, since I still haven't been able to find raws for Sunday 52/2014 and now 1/2015 with the first chapter of Tokiwa is already out.

Nice, he had this planned out. It may be that the ending of HSDK was rushed and sloppy because of this, I wouldn't be a surprise because I expect this to be a big hit. I think this might actually be able to replace hsdk successfully. Tough there still will be a hole in my life for hsdk to come back.

I think so, too. After all it takes quite a while to draw 3 x 44 pages, some of them color pages, and continue right away with the new series. Even if you count the almost 2 months break between Kenichi and Tokiwa.

Did someone already translate the first chapter, or are you takling about the first oneshot/prequel?

Sorry for the slow reply. I was talking about the one shot with the ninja and the girl. Subtle (compared to HSDK, but still more than ideal I think) fanservice, intriguing world, throwbacks to HSDK. I think the formula is there to pick up the old fans of HSDK and create new ones.

Let's hope for the same caliber of story telling that we respect Matsuena-sensei for.
