Websunday uploaded this preview picture. It seems to be a story about modern day ninja and the two main characters(?) appear to be childhood friends. They promise ninja action.
Male MC reminds me of that guy from the first OVA and female MC ... is Miu with gray hair.

Is that sword Curved? Or twisted? The artwork is the same as before, I wonder if he's gonna continue the excessive fan service.

@Combatmaster1o3 I'd say it is slightly curved. The tiny bit of information given so far makes it look like this story is going to focus more on action, but since it's Matsuena and there is a girl involved I'm sure there will be at least some fanservice.
This chapter is going to have 44 pages, 4 of them color pages.
Wazadepa was updated as well. In this picture Miu2 looks more like a cross between young Shigure and Chikage.
2nd story appears to be more like generic fantasy stuff.
And I can't help it, but that one guy from story #3 looks like Tanimoto with Tsuji's hair and Kokin's tatoos.

With this picture, it does seem to confirm that the slow introduction to heavier fan service may have something to due with each other. The first image looks exactly like Kenichi. I wonder if its a habit? Even the mail is the same. And the hand wraps. Its like Ken-chan was reborn into the Kurimesago. WHat if Katana is reversed Kenichi story 0.o?
Jokes aside, I want to see what Matsuena can do with a new type of story.(Although I don't mind seeing him do what he's good at.)

So we have two Kenichi clones, a Shikage mix, a brown haired Koan Shokatsu, an elf, and a Tsunikin(..?) fusion? That's chill.

In Kanata, I wonder if it would show techniques like Kenichi did. And if they do, will they be reasonable? That back hand slash is incredibly... useless, unless if he's using an ice pick grip to stab(with a katana?).

Another version of the main illustration. I hope Mangastream keeps their word and we'll get a translation. Shonen Sunday #50 goes on sale tomorrow.

Will someone please post a link to the one shots, I really want to see how it goes.
Also note how these characters look like other characters in hsdk lol. I suppose its hard to make new, completely unique faces after drawing the same one for 12 years.

Fan service detected. Also dufuq was that hand/ghost thing (King piccolo's hand?). Also whats with his ineffective looking weapon that comes out of his arm.
Cons aside I think I can get into this series(maybe). Still sourly missing HSMK

If he decides to continue one of these three one-shots I hope this will be it, because me might get some Kenichi cameos.
I'm not sure what to think of this demon hand thing.

The whole demon hand thing is not in the hsdk universe, neither is the sword. The art can be attributed to, well, art. Its the same reason why the girl looks like a reprocessed Miu/Shigure/Older Chikikage.

KANATA was alright, it had some interesting elements, but I think it might get boring. Also I'm holding out for a HSDK sequel. If he does KANATA he's less likely to do a Kenichi sequel some time in the future.

If this does become serialized weekly as a series. I just hope he keeps it short and have the main plot's point down to a tee. It has potential non-the-less.

I'm looking too much for the hsdk plot and story style, not magic wierdo stuff(They literally fight weird.). Hsdk was semi-reasonable and was epic at the same time. I don't want his new series to lose that.
