History's Strongest Disciple Kenichi Battle 532 has been released by Mangapanda. The Hachiou Executioner Blade and the One Shadow Nine Fists join forces! Battle 532 is titled, "Something You Can't Oppose".

I'm liking these early chapter releases.

Ogata showed up! :D It's always great when he appears.

Elder and his opponent have been fighting for an entire week! I wonder when we'll get to have a good look at his face. He kinda looks like the Elder's brother or something.

I'm really excited to see the weapons division's masters show up. Two of them seem to be female, too.

Eh, the editor note at the end mentions a double issue, so I guess there will be a week long break at some point.

The Elder doesn't even have time to eat this is an interesting type of battle

I guess Elder and the weapon-team leader are both conserving their stamina as best they can while looking for openings to beat eachother. Elder is probably holding back due to the chance that someone else could ambush him even if he does win this fight.

@Cam

Excellent analysis. I got that feeling too. The truth is the Elder hasn't done anything so far that is beyond the others of Ryozanpaku when they get serious, which means he definitely is still holding back a great deal.

But wow, the stamina of these two are amazing.

I'm guessing Elder's going to bust out one of his super techniques next chapter now that he's finally expressed that he knows he's being held there for a reason. Honestly, I doubt he could have stopped the OSNF from breaking their own out by himself.

It's also interesting that Kenichi knows something is wrong and wants to train to be ready for it. Makes me thin Kenichi might be reaching the place between Master and Disciple here soon, but closer to the Master side of the spectrum.

several things of note here:

1. Nipples. Awesome.

2. The Elder and this Swordsman are both amazing and ridiculously insane. Wow.

3. Weapon division looks super badass.

4. Kenichi is getting serious. Can't believe Masteuna has me on the edge of my seat once again. Excellent chapter.

Does this feel like it might be the last arc to anybody else?

citizen_lion

I think it will be the second to last arc. Someone will die here, or even maybe more than one. Perhaps all the elders of Ryozanpaku, Hayato, Ma and Akisame, will all die, so that the younger generation of super masters and disciples live on.

Then cue a time skip to the last arc, where we will see Kenichi approaches Masterdom. The manga will end when Kenichi reaches Masterdom.

I could see that either way the end is fast approaching...

I would rather it reach at least the 1000 chapter threshold. Even if it does end, the boo.... I mean the story will last forever in my heart. This series even inspired me to study a few different martial arts.

I would rather this manga goes on forever. Yea, the As... I mean the story will last forever in my heart too.

Considering how the author can stretch arcs out, even if we were on the last few arcs that could still mean a long time to go. I ain't worried. I'll just keep reading and enjoying it. And to celebrate, here are some of my favorite pages of this wonderfulyl sexy, action packed manga:

You guys really think it's even remotely close to ending? I had no reason to think that at all...I feel like it's still got a ways to go.

Anyway I'm kind of disappointed that it took Elder an entire week of fighting to realize the HEB's plan even though they told it to him flat out right at the beginning...

Maybe he just didn't take them seriously, and its now hitting him that their plan is actually working.

...

I'm also glad to see Ogata yet again :) I can't wait to see him fight one of Ryouzanpaku masters

That, sadly, is so in character for the Elder. The Elder must honestly believe that he WAS truly superman (as in Kal El from Crypton), but he was not, he was an extraordinarily strong elite master class, but still human, and because of this skewed judgement of his own power he made many mistakes:

- Staying too far from the Hongo / Sasaki fight => not being able to sense Jenazard when he snuck up => not able to save both Kenichi and Miu (from the way that particular scene play out, we could see that the Elder's max speed is not much more than Ma's, since it was almost an exact mirror of Ma's saving Raichi.)

- Running around the world looking for Jenazard, and skipping the most obvious place that he could show up. Both Ken and Miu could have been dead if not for, in many ways, dumb luck.

If they have the Elder experiencing a moment of mental meltdown after facing the reality of his fallibility and limits, it would propel HSDK right into the masterpiece class...
