Ok guys, so I can't be the only person who hates Takeda right? Let me explain why.

First of all I can't stand his cheery attitude. I mean really the guy always has this stupid smile on his face no matter what he's doing. He's got two fists up and that stupid smile permanently glued onto his face. It's like this cheeky, obnoxious "hehe I'm about to get my ass whooped" face. It just bothers me that that's how he reacts to every situation. It's tough to see the guy actually give a genuine reaction to anything.

But that's just my personal annoyance. My main issue with him is his complete lack of actual character development. It's like Matsuena is just trying to stuff a rival character in for Kenichi, but keeps forgetting about him. First of all there's his love for Miu. Does it exist at all, or is he just trolling Kenichi? It's really frustrating because we have nothing concrete on this crush. We don't know if he's just teasing Kenichi because he does go pretty far, but at the same time we see nothing to indicate that he likes her.

It goes deeper than that though. There's also his development as a fighter. The entire time that Kenichi is doing whatever he's doing Takeda is supposedly training himself. Shiba probably challenges Takeda more than Kenichi is challenged but really does anyone else feel like Takeda just gets random power boosts that also randomly disappear? I mean we saw some improvements from him with Shiba but then immediately after Takeda got annihilated by Shou. Takeda went from "oh look I'm catching up to you Kenichi" to "I don't even deserve to grovel at your feet, Kenichi".

I guess my main issue is that Takeda has potential as a frontrunning character but this is rarely, if ever, touched upon by Matsuena. Matsuena focuses all his attention on Kenichi, Miu, and Yomi. The members of the Shinpaku Alliance just get random level ups here and there but then they're forgotten.

The current arc looks to be building up some Ukita development, training, etc. But I don't expect it to last. I expect a level up and then Ukita will take someone out and he'll be forgotten in the dust.

But at least Ukita doesn't have blue hair.

I think Matsuena started Takeda off to build him as maybe a mian fighter, but then shifted to Kenichi completely and kind of forgot about everyone else.

The only gripe I have with Takeda is that he refers to everyone as "honey" or "sweetie." It kind of annoys me. Come on, dude. It hasn't worked before, it's not going to work if you keep doing it. But, at least the has Freya now, so maybe we won't see that all the time anymore. Unless Shiratori takes her too.

What do you mean by main fighter? Like was there going to be a team of fighters or something? Techincally Takeda is a Shinpaku Alliance general. He just gets no show time.

I guess, basically. I saw him as someone who would be getting a lot of fight time, especially after the SA was created. Really, the whole SA is only there for the "breaks" in between arcs. And when they do do something, Takeda isn't doing anything.

Takeda's character develpment was incredibly quick; He was slightly angsty when he was in Ragnarok, but cheered up instantly once his arm was fixed. Perhapse it's a case of "I didn't know the manga would go on this long", or maybe Matsuena just keeps forgetting about him since Kenichi has so many other rivals. As for his "crush" on Miu, I think he's just trolling.

I'm betting he ends up with Kaname(Freya)

Ah I've seen on other forums he's kind of a hated character but noones really said why as well as that before.

I believe he really does like Miu though, it showed his brain workings and all he thinks about is winning and Miu. Plus he kind of needs to be cheery and obnoxious he's the Ken to Kenichi's Ryu. He makes an interesting rival to Kenichi as well, he has one of the most limited fighting style (I mean as in he only ever uses punches) as oppose to Kenichi whos got four different styles and yet hes still developing into a decent rival with similar techniques putting in the active effort to emulate the mubyoshi and ryuusei seikuken (and I always like characters which see someone else do a cool move and steal it).

So yeah all in all I really quite like his character. Would like to see him fight Natsu though, see how he matches up.

Takeda is pretty much like Knuckles to me
he was once an enemy turned friendly rival
appears every now & then to chat but doesn't add any importance to the plot as of yet as the main gets majority focus,especially when Matsuena actually develops most characters and not give them random power boost,though lately with Takeda its described that he trains similar to Kenichi but he doesn't really get a chance to show how strong he is.
im just saying Takeda can be done better
i like that side/supporting characters get a chance to shine in HDSK ,except Ukita lol poor Ukita,but i guess while i like Takeda i can see y he isnt liked by others

I think the core issue is that Matsuena does not use Takeda enough. He just seems like such a filler charcter when he really shouldn't be one.

Too true. There are just SO many characters. He can do so much development but he doesn't take advantage of it.

Rimi's breasts are fine just the way are.
