Karate Shoukoushi Kohinata Minoru it's on all the usual manga sites goes abit weird in places at the start but I find it quite fun to read when waiting for Kenichi updates

Erm...has a few similarities. Starts with a weak guy being bullied then learns martial arts etc but not really. Less fan service and its a seinen so more girls (and guys) having to be saved from well being raped which never seems to suit the theme of the rest of the manga but get past that and its pretty good.
