Ryusui Seikuken Third Stage =Epic Level of Awesomeness.

Soon the truth will be clear.
Can' wait till the next chapter.
Why did Saiga cooperate with Senzui by training Kajima knowing that Senzui killed Shizuha ?

Good backstory, nice clarity, approved.

Hi, i'm Ksr15! i've been watching this site for awhile and this manga for longer, but finally decided to join.

This week's story was Awesome! one of the best chapters yet. So glad to hear this story.

Lol at Mius mom also getting embarressed at the fact that she revealed her self!

Great chapter, reminded me of Hongo/Sakaki/Hajime flashback, although this flashback is gonna be short.

Hm, I wonder what Saiga and elder argued about in the past.

Hm, I wonder what Saiga and elder argued about in the past.

My guess... his mother. Why is it that we never saw a mention of the Elder's wife and Saiga's mom? Something dark and twisted must have happened.

Great flashback, and holy... Saiga and Senzui were legendaries already 18 years ago, since they met before Shizuha conceived, and the Kuremisago internecine war was "short but bloody" like the Elder's retelling, which means a year of intense bloodshed, and that Kenichi and Miu should be finishing their last year of high school, entering college, because Freya was first year 4, 5 story arcs ago.

Either that or the author has decided to throw powerscale consistency out the window for one scene again... because even the high grandmasters right now can't pull off power feats like that yet. Akisame came close with his Alexander fight, and Hongo displayed nearly that power in the Jenazad fight, and Jenazad probably has that same level of power, but only in present time.

If Saiga is about the same age as Akisame, perhaps a year or two older, then he would be only 20 in this flashback. We don't know Senzui's real age, but probably that too. People like Saiga, Senzui, Shigure, and Apachai makes the current generation all seems REALLY SLOW to develop :D

Makes you wonder if situations were different and Apachai learnt fuurinji style or silat just how powerful would he be?

They, actually, were 20 in the flashback.

Hmm.  These two have a confusing past.

Next week even will give more clarification hopefully.

The secret to power in Kenichi is being a cool pretty boy or lady ranging from the ages of 16 to 28. But jokes aside I really can't "nail down" HSDK's power meter. I mean characters are throwing unblockables (Ki Punch). Then again the series constantly states that "strength isn't everything". But doesn't defeating master level fighters in an instant make you O.P? Well either way it's probably something to get used to in this series. And in a way makes the end of a fight more fun to see ;-p .

Well then it comes down to experience. This is a special technique that allows a punch to hit no defenses, you relax your muscles and ki thus becoming venerable. Kenichi came up with a way to counter it, who sais masters cant. It becomes like the situation where the emperor spear dude had his spear pointed at Sakaki when Sakaki was dashing towards him. He noticed and didn't take that step, although speculating if he did take that step is pointless cause he didn't. Replace spear with Shinogidachi and the step with some counter of sorts. That type of situation would occur.

Keep in mind if we are comparing 20 year old Saiga to 16 year old Kenichi. Its been about 2 years since he began, his improvement is extraordinary. Hes been fighting people who have talent, tenacity, and have been working at matial arts for a long time. I have no doubt he will reach those extraordinary heights at an extremely young age.

He still has the elder to go through right?

Don't forget having big brests! that really seems to help the fighting! (btw, i would be happier if this entire manga was pg rated)

Well, the gap of strength between 20 year old Saiga and 16 year old Kenichi is literally that of a human and an ant. It's too ridiculous of a gap to be consistent with the internal logic of the HSDK world so far, and we all know that the HSDK world goes from normal to full on superhuman in power scale.

But analyzing Saiga's feat of lifting half of a solid boulder of that size, which would be 40-50 tons at least, with 1 finger, makes it so ridiculous and outside the boundary of physics even in that manga world.

Assuming a 1cm squared contact area for 1 finger (reasonable) and 40 tons of rock for half a boulder of that size. That means the pressure is 400,000 Newton / 0.0001 m^2 = 4 x 10^9 Pa

This is around the range of pressure necessary to compress a lump of coal into synthetic diamond...

His finger would simply bore through that rock like butter at that pressure.

It doesn't even make any sense in this physical world, because bones simply cannot reach that density. You can say that pink muscles or even white muscles are orders of magnitudes stronger than red muscles, and if you can fill up your entire body with white muscles you will be as strong as an ant and lift 40-50tons. BUT you will need to distribute that weight all over your body in a physically sound ways (which is what martial arts is!) because human bones at it's absolute densest, is still a calcium matrix, not steel, and certainly not diamond...

You can say that at it's densest, human bone is on the same density as rock, but with a lot more elasticity, ok, we can accept that, and so that it would explain feats like casually punch through walls, and punching through steel with effort. BUT... rock, concrete, and steel is far far too weak to withstand diamond-forming pressure.

I don't even want to extrapolate that feat to his power anymore because it probably give the conclusion that Saiga could jump into orbit or create an atomic-level blast with a full punch, or something stupid like that. Frankly I am extremely disappointed that the author would turn an extremely well-crafted world of fantasy but with beautiful logical consistency, to a completely absurd setting, simply because ninja's are involved...

Anyway, I'll wait for the next chapter and forget that this one existed.

Maybe you're thinking of it as a merely phisycal issue, someone said in the last conversation that we know so little about the Ki, that it could be Saiga and Senzui using some strange ki tecnique, not to use one finger to lift a giant rock, but to make a distribution of the presure, using his finger as a tool to do it, we just don't know.

@citizen_lion

We saw the superman punch a hole in the ocean.  I think we waved bye bye to things that make sense a long time ago.  Didn't we see Gramps swimming up waterfalls or running across the ocean right at the beginning?  It was always tongue-in-cheek.  I think Apachai kneed a helicopter at some point, and someone flipped a tank.  The HSDK world was always designed on the absurd.

So, you know, boulders are whatever man...

Hell, Kenichi stopped a speeding large bolder (I'd say half the size of Saiga'srock at the most) early on in the series to save his father. And let's not get started on how Siegfried trained himself to having an owl neck and shrug off neck snapping fatalities. Or Hongō and Jenazad's tower busting strike(s). So many more inhuman feats that if I weren't on mobile and tired, I'd probably list..

Actually, the reason why I singled out that feat in particular as absurd is because it is not consistent with the powerscale extablished throughout the manga. All the other feats are actually consistent when analyzed together. That "1 finger boulder lift" feat literally broke the already-fantasy-physic of the manga :D

Well, yea, thinking of it as a ki technique may make it a bit more sensible. So it must be some sort of method to make the touch so light and gradual that it's more like they set the weight on themselves instead of catching a falling rock. Ok, I can kinda see that working. Ah well :D

And that Sakaki casually destroyed the rolling bolder.

Tochumaru fired an assault rifle and didn't get blasted back by the recoil.

Supersonic Lai Draw Sai Kagerou. Nuff said.

Elder's fist causing a crater deep enough for trees to fit easily in.

How Miu manages to keep the shreds of her battle attire that covers her assets from falling off.

Rimi and Miu running down and up the dam.

Niijima... . His humanity is questioned so eh...

Hongō and Jenazad again, walking, running, fighting on the vertical side of a tower.

Well in all fairness, Senzui was holding the other end of the rock as well and unlike Saiga, Senzui was using  all his fingers and back of his fingers and thumps to get a grip on it.

If you go back to the panel, you can see that the Senzui is gripping the rock in a much different manner than Saiga who is using one finger. Seems very realisitc to me since both were holding the boulder at the opposite end as oppose in the middle:

Another thing to keep in mind thats happening in the panel is the idea of "Rooting" to the ground which is known in chinese martial arts and if you notice, both Saiga and Senzuis feet are deeply rooted to the ground while both have them having a good posture while they are holding the rock.

Also, Saigas right arm which is free is clinched, which means that although he is making it look easy using one finger, the hsdk reality is that, he is putting effort in holding the rock since his free hand is tensed and clinched in a fist.

The most unrealisitc feat for me is, Ganosukes X Sword Wave and his hurricane move he creates using the motion of his swords. I mean, this is very mid-dragonball feat of Ganosuke.

Look at his X wave clearing an entire path:

Not to mention, jumping in the air and eating an eagle/Hawk raw in middle of a fight. I mean, realisticly speaking, he could get Ecolie or some infection from eating raw meat and since he is in middle of a fight, it would be unrealisitc to eat food without throwing up since his adrenaline is on a high gear. Granted, they had their mini-breaks here and there but, non-sea food meat is very difficult to digest.

Hahaha, sorry for derailing this thread into another powerlevel discussion, but until we have more story to talk about, I guess it's either this or discussing how devastatingly Miu-like Shizuha is.

I have to clarify a bit, the main reason why I take particular offense with this feat, and not many others, is because it broke this unspoken rule that "any feat in HSDK is actually possible for the human body to do, if all the stats were bumped to superhuman level". That is, they are "biologically consistent".

Every single feat in HSDK except the Elder's leg trip (which perhaps we can count as a joke, because it was presented as a joke), fit this criteria.

A human being can reach absurd level of speed. Even a normal human being, like you and I, can produce a faster than sound slash with enough training (the sound of a whip cracking is the tip breaking the sound barrier for a split second). The fastest punch in the world goes from still to target in less than 1/12th of a second, and is almost invisible to the naked eye. And that is just our mundane world.

A human being can reach absurd level of strength, too. And that is without the ability to change your whole body to pink muscles or white muscles, if you truly want to push the of instantaneous power to "insect class" but sacrifice endurance. With enough strength, you CAN punch a hole in the sea, or split a pool down the middle, or shout loud enough to cause an avalanche, or flip a tank. By the way, if you have been training regularly, go to the neighborhood pool, locate the vent at the bottom of the pool near the shallow end, grip the vent with your toes, and kick as hard as you possibly can with the other leg. It take a bit of technique too, but you, too, can cause a small cavitation in the pool ;)

BUT no one has bones made of diamond, and even in the fantasy world of HSDK. Bones are made of calcium and some strontium, and a few other trace minerals, and living cells within it. It can get extremely durable in real life, up to 4 times the average person's, in a trained martial artist's knuckles and shoulders, and we can extrapolate that at absolute density, it will be as hard as limestone, yet still as tough and flexible as normal bone.

But it will not survive gigapascal pressure... The rock itself will not survive gigapascal pressure.

So basically, even if Saiga and Senzui can generate that much strength in their muscles, they still won't be able to do this because their bones, even at absolute density, will still break very quickly. Moreover, the rock itself will very quickly break on top of their fingers as well.

Generating and withstanding gigapascal pressure level is actually a feat that was first attributed to... Superman, the guy in blue tights with an S on his chest, the same guy who can beat SSJ4 Goku if he goes all out. That guy...

Maybe the rocks from kuremisago are super dense  :D And elder's double jump also breaks physics,,, but its awesome,

Well er 576 is out. Its an amazing chapter
