Did Kenichi find a new stage in Ryuusei Seikuken? And this also proves that Saiga is in fact a member of Yami. Or was...

Shit, Kajima's technique is scary as hell!

This chapter was all kinds of bad ass :o . So I'm guessing Saiga ans Senzui used him to prove whether "talent" really matters.

Edit. makes me wonder how little we know about ki, always thought it boosts strength and makes feints but we never got a proper explanation it was only glanced over during the Takeda/Lugh fight...

And the fact that he managed to counter Mubyoshi like that is just unbelievable to me, because they're still in the disciple class.

Keep up the good work, Syun!

Pretty good chapter! Kajima is a guy that would get along with Ogata very very very very well!

We now know that Saiga did infact train Kajima along with Senzui watching as well. So now we know Kajima did infact have two masters!

I kid you not, even  the unarmed disciple fights are more impressive looking than any weapon master fight! it feels like Kajima and Kenichis techniques are way more deadlier than Shigures final technique or way more sophisticated and devastiating than Mildreds bow technique or Michaels Scythe skills.

Kajima was talking about that "your techniques will live on inside me" talk that Ogata did against glasses guy

Scratch the first part I said.

Aw man, I miss Renka. :(

Me too. At least we know that she's on Syun's mind.

Yay, I was right about Saiga having some connection to Yami.

Also what was at the end of all the Ryuusui Seikuuken. Daisan?Daini? I would appreciate it if someone educated me.

Kenichi at the end their could have completely mastered Ryuusui Seikuuken. For each respective types if Ki, the user becomes stronger depending on their calm(if Sie) or Anger/Passion(if Dou). Kenichi might have achieved a higher level of calm. He always seemed to show that Dou potential in terms of passion and in my opinion weakened his fighting Ki. He breaks down into a near Dou like fighting style. This may have allowed him to understand the heart of Sei more.

why was renka not included in this operation again?

glad to see she still being thought of chapter cover

anyway that fight was so badass, really liked how kenichi calmed himself down by hitting himself

plus the throwback to the whole, your training won't betray you was nice

i wonder how the other fights are going

Daisan is third right? so this is the third stage of Seikuuken?

I really hope that HSDK isn't ending anytime soon because it is the most badass thing ever. I am also very confused on what's going on with Saiga and yami.

I don't think HSDK is ending. At least, I hope not. :o

So many feels!!!!!! This chapter is so awesome and badass. I can't even make a decent commentary on it!

With Saiga not being a badguy, and fighting the big bad guy, this does feel like the series will be over in a couple months.

There goes my hopes of the next big rival being Miu who is taken in by Yami...

This chapter really looks like Kajima can use the Hamon (ripple) in Jojo Battle Tendency. I mean, the effect of the punch, and the way the art is drawn (Kenichi's hand being "electrocuted" when it hits) is very similar to a Hamon punch.

From everything we have seen in the manga so far. I think "Ki" can mean one or more of these things, sometimes together: Muscle tension and relaxation, posture, the reading of posture and muscle tension in order to predict movements (honed to a reflexive action when reached master class).

Kajima's "ki punch" is probably a technique where he supertense his knuckle and forearm while relaxing his shoulder and back to its utmost limits, so that he can launch a very fast punch that hits with his fist being at its hardest, which has a similar effect of being hit by a whip with a steel ball on the tip, or something like that.

This would explain how the strain of doing this contradictory, anatomically strange movement ruptures a few blood vessels in his eye.

Also i have to say, Kenichi levels up slower than everyone else, but whenever he levels up, it looks clearly the most badass. Also it looks like Kajima is at the "casual destruction of masonry" level of strength now, and Kenichi is probably almost there too, and they are tanking hits after hits from each other... I think the masters won't tell them to keep them training, but they are both high experts, about to become low masters, now.

Would it be interesting if Kenichi used the blind spot of the eye patch to win?  To say, "the difference between us is that I was trained with love?"  Whereas Kajima's training crippled him?

Bah, even though I said it might be ending, it seems like there are so many stories that haven't been dealt with.  Kenichi hasn't dealt with Berserker, Hermit, or really, even Chikage.  It's just that I don't see who would be the new big threat unless its Miu.

After Sho was defeated - a big ass surprise - the new rival was made quite clear and made sense.  I don't think the story has room for a new character.

And while all the characters are together, indicating a final showdown, I don't see the major villains going down to the ragtag non-main characters.

I hope that Saiga is fundamentally not a life-saving fist.  It's important to the story, and considering that our author has "gone there" to that dark place a couple of times, he might make this really interesting...

So, I suppose...either the Sunset completes, or there's something we're missing.

Kajima was talking about that "your techniques will live on inside me" talk that Ogata did against glasses guy

Yeah, he said me I remember.
It was one of the best chapters ever.
Hope next chapter will be also satisfying.
Can wait to know the story between Saiga and Senzui.
I would kill for a manga based on the elder raising Saiga into the amazing fighter he is, mainly Saiga's entire backstory. Also manga about the hayato would be awesome to.

I think, if anything, Kajima brought this on himself due to being impatient. Saiga did stop him from using it, after all.

I don't think that it is ending either. There are just way too many things left in the dark. I'm waiting for the author to throw us another juicy plot twist.

Also, why end a manga that is back on the upswing? HSDK has consistently regain pace and quality since the severe drop after the Apachai arc, and is now at a high point again, why stop here?

This latest chapter introduces yet another mystery. Saiga DID work with Senzui before. The question is, when was this?

Actually, I suspect that we are reading that manga right now. The Elder has a habit of joking and exaggerating for comedic effect (actually all of Ryozanpaku have this habit to some extend), so his one of joke about "never known the feeling of being beaten" before could just be that, a joke.

Or it could indeed be the truth... If you think about it, Kenichi, since he started practicing martial arts, have never been beaten, except by Tsuji. He had indeed won every life-and-death fights he was in!

Various characters in the manga had commented that Kenichi reminds them of the Elder. Even Ogata said something of the sort when meeting him in the mountain for the first time.

The only thing different from the Elder that Kenichi lacked was self-motivation (solved once he found a reason to fight) and "willingness to fight and hurt people". Somehow I think that what the satsujinken people claim as "talents for martial arts" is mainly this inherent aggressiveness.

We did not see the Elder being trained by some super master(s) in his childhood, but I wouldn't be surprised if he had the exact same start as Ken.

But I think it is that unwillingness to fight that would allow Kenichi to become the future Elder. Because of this lack of aggression, Kenichi always start every fight (until recently) taking a beating, because he simply always holds back THAT much.

To beat opponents that supposedly have more talent, and even training history, than he does, and yet still holds back a lot require having a special body and truly deep mastery of techniques... That is the hallmark of the Elder.

Think about it, Kenichi, as a teenager, already knew 2 of the Elder's 108 technique. And he doesn't just know them, he mastered them to the same level that the Elder master them. The Elder himself stated that even his version Ryusui Seikuken only goes to 3 stages. Kenichi also can perform a choke-hold in mid air, against an opponent actively trying to perform a death march, and yet still limit the force to non-lethal (in fact, non-damaging!). So Ken has mastered the art of choke-holds to the same level as Akisame! Kenichi's ki, whenever he is angry, resemble's Sasaki's both in quality and strength, since it could startle someone near the grandmaster level like Eclair. Even people like Shou Kanou and Lugh can only emit a normal master's ki in their teens.

Kenichi is already superhuman and ahead of all of his peers that are all the next generation of masters. He just doesn't know this yet, and that is the reason why he will keep growing.

The manga needs to go in a faster pace from here on though, for it to truly be "the next invincible superman Kenichi" :D

Matsuena, what the hell are you planing to do after this??

Wasn't he beaten by that Koukin guy, though?
